Maybe it's the lack of sleep and recent "getting any", but am I the only one who glanced over the front page and saw "Sex Offenders to Register Emails in Vag*na"?:P
A NAS ain't gonna save you from the software risk factors (virii, malware, PEBCAKs, OOPses, etc.)
With DVD+/-Rs being so cheap, just reimage them every once in awhile.
That's my chief complaint regarding most of the hardware sites out there.
I can understand the need for "unscientific" writing (eg. use of first person narratives, slang, etc.) since you're not writing for a bunch of labcoats, but the underlying testing methodology should be.
Disclaimer : I used to (still?) run a review site. Astute readers will figure it out;)
Certification exams are so much fun! I know - I just took the one for PhDs, a.k.a the qualifier examination;)
(The entire undergraduate and "introductory" graduate VLSI curriculum crammed into a 2 hour, closed book, closed notes test)
What I believe I'm seeing as an EE/CE TA is that the average student is steadily becoming dumber, expecting to be spoon-fed and being practically devoid of all powers of deduction. This is evident in the lower level classes and really evident in the advanced senior level classes (eg. microwave engineering class, which requires tying together lots of concepts from basic electronics, EM, etc.). However, the good/excellent students are still as good/excellent as ever (probably the same with the outliers on the other end).
Lots of profs I've talked to also agree that this seems to be the case and they're becoming increasingly annoyed.
For portable music players, I'd venture that most of the time you're in a moderately noisy environment. Add to that a lighter pair of cans (though I suppose big expensive honkers would make really great earmuffs:P ) not being powered under optimal conditions (think you're getting a linear Class A amp?;) ) and you're going to miss a lot of subtleties in the audio anyway.
Another issue is that a data converter with 16 digital pins is not always 16 bits. The ENOB is critically dependent on the design of supporting circuitry (temperature invariant bias, full scale inputs, etc.)
>>You will never be fired for choosing MS or considering using the "newest" version.
Ugh, not that old Wintel argument rearing it's ugly head again. We just broke the barrier not too long ago when corporate folks finally started using AMD en masse.
Granted, I haven't been keeping up to date on the technical goings-ons of Office 2007, but why a new Word/Excel/etc. format?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the current formats date back to MS Office 2000 (which I'm still using)?
You IT admins can blame yourselves the most for the increase in archived traffic.
Quit watching those hi-def pr0n streams!:P
On a related note, if I knew I were under investigation, it might be a hoot to subject the courts to LOTS of copies of goatse. cx...
That's the weirdest archiving strategy I've ever seen! Why not just archive by category+account+year or something (which is what I do in Eudora). Then have an archive copy of Eudora for say the 2000-2004 period.
The change is already here. Just take a look at how Chinese college students are living here. ;)

Grandchildren nothing! Do you know how many so called "computer engineers" are command-line retarded?!?!
I like those cards too, but didn't they have problems with 10/100 rate detection? Disclaimer : Memory inhibition substance, a.k.a booze in effect :P

I love this style. Just makes it all the sweeter when the other kids get WTF pwned in the junior level embedded programming class ;)
Wow, the trip back this year is gonna be interesting ;)

I guess those are the ones you see with 4.0 GPAs?

But think about it. Your hand/s would still be just as tired, but you're saving bandwidth!0 8-04

MILF? It it were YGILF it wouldn't be as bad ;)
Glad you like it :)
I'm not affiliated with them, other than an old college friend is working there and I did up the flash usage tutorials for them.
There is a mod for IE6 (also works for IE7) on XP that will allow to simply type "g " in the address bar and away you go ;)
Here's a nice tool to use : http://www.browsercam.com/
