I can put this in a slightly un-eloquent manner... They're all in on it together. What exactly "IT" is, is still up for debate. RIP Captain America - May your death make you a martyr for nerds and/or anyone else with a spark of American spirit left

When you said "...figuring out how to undo its runaway greenhouse effect..." it suddenly clicked in my head...

Wasn't one of the fears of an all out nuclear war on earth the whole concept of Nuclear Winter, where it damages the atmosphere, and causes a temperature drop?

What if we blanketed Venus with thousands of nukes...?

Just a theory, really. But interesting?

I mean, the biggest danger to a government that is trying to control people is real education and knowledge.

This is what they get for allowing people education on any subject, while still trying to commit war-crimes and atrocities. If you're going to be pigs, you should have done it right. See: Fascism

What, did you think the nerds and geeks around the world would sit and let it slide? Hell, I'd say that the educated and tech savvy of us are your WORST enemies, because we know what you've done, we know how to hurt you, and we're just pissed off enough to do it.

No, the violent video games are not helping the "decline of society", but self righteous assholes like yourself are!

You do not get to decide that violent games shouldn't be marketed. No kids were hurt in the making of this game. No kids are GOING to be hurt by PLAYING this game.

If you're so concerned with violence, perhaps you should worry more about our 18 year olds being sent to their deaths for a "war" with questionable backing and purpose, or parents teaching their kids to hate people who aren't of the "norm".

There are far, FAR more dangerous things out there, and a game that kids aren't even allowed to purchase in the first place is definitely not a concern.

Get off of your high-horse, and play some mortal combat. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised/amused, and I KNOW for a fact that you will not come away from it more violent, or with the idea of practicing a fatality on your friend.

  8. Question about independant artists? on Internet Radio Will Go Silent on June 26th · · Score: 1

This whole fiasco only applies to the "artists" and "music" that is under the thumb of the RIAA, correct? Examples being Metallica and Avril La-fake-punk. Say I were to have my own internet radio site, playing my own original tracks and mixes of acid-techno and acid-house, as well as my dozens of contacts and Live PA partners and their music, would I be safe from this? Mostly, I don't give a damn about music that is controlled or even touched by the RIAA with a ten foot pole. Real musicians don't need those jerk-offs, anyways. Long live independent labels and artists! 3

Say I write a program that I want to share freely and distribute as open code (anyone can do anything they like with it). What would that be called? I don't want any "official" license, I just write it, and distribute it my own way. Is that bad? Is someone going to bring the hammer down on me for not applying for an open source or closed source license? Why should I care? Just a couple thoughts. I never cared about licenses, really.

Let's be realistic for a minute. WHY in the HELL would I give a company my hard earned dollars so that they can restrict what I look at or listen to? Why are they even allowed to do this? If information is ever blocked like this, I vow to setup an entire farm of illegitimate data, and share it with as many people around the world as I can, circumventing all of their "anti-privacy" countermeasures. They're dogs. The next few years are going to be very interesting.

You're a news writer, correct? I don't think anyone wants this site becoming like ****ing Fox news, those pigs. Now, on the other hand, I'm not writing a news report, so I can tell you that I think the Wii will do a lot better than these M$ fanboys think. They have an excellent plan, unlike the brute-force plan that Sony and M$ always follow.
