    I am curious why he said that.

    I don't think doom 3 or quake 4 runs with the non-free nvidia drivers. Not sure why he thinks this is suddenly a problem.

    People used it because they got stuff for free that they'd otherwise have had to pay for. That's not a market that you can suddenly slap a paid service on top of.

    Where can I buy downloadable hidef copy of movies without DRM so I can play it on my Linux XBMC?

    I would be willing to spend up to the cost of the physical medium in order not to have to worry about that knock on the door.

    I tried disabling netescape plugins so I could try native as well. No joy

    If it were possible to download movies without DRM junk, I would pay close to the same cost as buying a physical DVD. (I just copy by dvd's to my computer for my media center anyways. I can't remember the last time I actually watched anything straight from a DVD.)

    Fortunately, I read the customer reviews at newegg so I was expecting it.

    I installed windows then splashtop. Splashtop is pretty but was not worth the time for the installation of windows.

    I was hoping I would at least be able to update my bios through it.

    It can't update the bios and cannot read any of my partitions.

    I changed my bios setting pretty quick to skip it from asking me to load splashtop.

    I think that we would see religion outlawed first. (Or regulated to the point where it may as well not exist.)

    Most religious people do not HATE atheists. Most atheists hate religion or - at the least - consider all believers idiots and nut-jobs.

    They (MS) are also providing 10 years of 32bit application compatibility that you don't get in Ubuntu.

    You mean that you don't need with Linux.

    In most European countries, all you have to do is hold down a job for 3-5 years and then you can naturalize.

    I wish the US would require people to hold down a job for 3-5 years before allowing people to "naturalize."
