Firefox is not all open source projects. Mozzila may have grown to big to fast by I hardly see the entire foss taking the stance that end users should fix bugs.
I know other women that left nursing (another stressful career) to go into IT thinking they'd have it easier, just to say "this is insane" and go back to the less stressful career of nursing. Those women are not very good nurses then if they find nursing less stressful (different stressful maybe but less?) And nursing is very unfriendly to families. You have late hours, mandatory overtime, days off that get canceled. If there is a biological disaster, they are not allowed to go home to their families but are required to stay at their shifts. My mom was a nurse for 25 years and I know I would never be able to handle the stress of that job. First person I was responsible for that died would be the end of me.
Wow. I didn't notice that people other countries do not refer themselves as a common (if not diverse) collective. (Before this gets taken out of context I do not mean a mindless, borg-like collective.)
Just wondering, if this common? I understand here out of respect to many other countries, but how about on the news or local forums?
This article is probably to old to notice a new comment, but if someone does, I am really curious.
You need a different distro if it takes 10 hours to config it for you.
I installed windows the other day (trying to fill up my hard disk.) I had to reboot after installing the drivers for internet, then my display card, then my harddrive (no my fucking sata harddrive is not a removable device,) and even my usb ports. Then after the 4th reboot for updating windows I gave up and booted back to linux and free up that space again.
Now, if I wasn't used to the "Linux" way, the windows way would have seemed normal and I probably would have just clicking reboot until dawn.
So after all is said and done I guess I am like you as far as giving a strange OS a shot. But unlike you, I cannot (legally) just try different versions of windows until I find the perfect fit.
I can picture thousands of nosy grannies (who are now part of the neighborhood watch) glued to the set.
How is this insightful when it is wrong? Do people just mod posts up because they sound good?

Image if those voters had voted their conscience. Bush would still be president, but a third party would actually have a chance at the next election.
I'm sorry, but the only way to break this cycle is for people to vote what they believe instead of voting against who they hate.
It makes sense that the liberal party would be the first to accept a new party - you know because they are suppose to be open minded.
That would be the start of the same thing happening on the otherside.
Well, got to say that I hope the major distros quit catering to the users who don't even care about their systems.

Wow, it's a good thing that the Congress majority is Democrat so this won't happen.

So you want to say that it's our fault that they attacked and killed us but can't. You forget were you are :)
I am curious if that hadn't happened if Bush would have been able to have these wars and won a second term.
The sad thing is they feed our hate and we feed theirs.
I don't think you watch our news. We make a big deal out of both sides dying.

You're not allowed to say that here.
