That is why Debian stable would be of little interest to you an me (I run sid.)
But it is has advantages for many.
Think about it. Some companies build their stuff around a current code base or a common set of features and have no interest try to rework there stuff to work with all the new bells and whistles. Debian stable offers that plus the ability to keep it secure.
You are missing the point. When etch is released, firefox will be frozen for the next year or two in that branch.
Debian security team adds security patches so that their stable version doesn't become an insecure version. Mozilla wants Debian to change their policy of a package freeze for their product or have users wait for security fixes until Mozilla approves the it.
To put it in terms you would understand, launching a unilateral all-out nuclear strike would be like shooting your sister in the head with a M20A1B1 while she fellated you, and hoping to walk away unscarred.
Wow, big words for someone you think didn't understand Wargames.
I did get the point. I was joking. And yes, I realize it wasn't funny. (When I wrote it it sure seemed funny)
Just about any linux I install that uses grub makes a nice Windows slot for me. So while it may not play "nice" with the windows bootloader it at least plays nice with windows.
Point 1 - You can ask the owners of the codex not to charge for their use.
Point 2 - If everthing works don't bother
Point 3 - See point 2 and add that if nvidia would open source their drivers it would be built into xog and the kernel
Point 4 - No idea - I don't due this in Debian unless I am fine tuning
Point 5 - I **think** Nautilus has plugins via yum. I know Konqeror does.
The biggest thing that you are not use to in terms of point 2 is how fast linux develops. You didn't have to do this in Windows because new versions of windoes come out every 4 years.
I windows I've had a partition change names on me (D E F) simply by pluging in a usb storage device and rebooting. And then spend precious hours readjusting links or wondering why things were crashing.
This is not really directed at the GP
The problem is too many people pull out a piece of shit computer from the '80s or early 90's and try to install a full destkop enviroment and then throw their hands up and complain that linux is too slow.
I only use firefox in windows as well. I find konqueror to be making strides past firefox with every release.
Is it available for Debian?i ve=no&bug=354622
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?arch
I think Konqueror is a viable alternative since you are running KDE
I noticed that too. But TNG movies ruined that.
And if that holds now, then Star Trek XI is already of too a bad start
Why is it that a conservative black woman must be a token? Was Albright the token Jew for the Clinton administration?
That was a mistake. I was replying to the parents comment.
It should have readSarge wouldn't be near five years old when etch comes out.
Unfortunately, I ended saying the very opposite of what I intended

sid is generally ahead of Ubuntu for the majority of its packages.
Wrong.....
Should read "Unless there are astronauts involved, and unless something terrible may happen to them, you won't get anyone's attention.

And yes, it can sit and has eyes to watch
They forgot to ask that question or he lied. ....
Almost as good as the leading dective was inditited for
Was it regarding this case?
You can set that behavior very easily in kde. In the Control Center got to Desktop --> behavior

Through in open office pre-installed as an alterive to MS office and you got your savings
Yeah. Maybe because it was difficult to even find a place to buy it at.
Batman Returns was good, however
