Wow. I haven't seen Modelines since Xfree86 x-servers. Not that there is a rule against it. Does that tweak it? Do you notice a difference or is it out of habit?
At my job I see a lot of people who think they can raise their IQ with a thesaurus. It is funny to read company emails from morons who try to use words they don't understand.
The person who wrote this is wrong.
becomes
The individuality who reproduce this is misconstrue.
I can just imagine that person sitting back thinking how smart they now appear.
I can only hope that every Bush voter has a friend or loved one maimed, murdered, or mutilated by the violence Bush stirred up in the Middle East with this unneeded war.
You actually hope for the death or mutilation of soldiers, Iraqis, and other civilians as long as they are related to a Bush supported?
I've heard a lot of sick things from both sides of the fence but this tops it.
What the fuck with this solve? When the next stable release, non-free freezes as well. It would still need the security patches backported.
The only thing what you said would gain is that we get to see the fox icon in exchange for an insecure browser for the next year or two until the next release.
I guess Mozilla thinks that leaving a browser insecure with their name and logo would help their reputation more. And when people complain, they will just blame Debian for not violating their social contract with users about the package freeze and upgrading firefox when told by Mozilla.
It's Firefox with bug fixes that mozilla has not implemented yet. It is also a demonstration of what has change since Mozilla went.com from org. I hope that the Debian version does not identify itself as Mozilla. It is just inflating there numbers when they are acting like dicks.
I don't see the KDE folks throwing fits about customizing Konqueror. Or Linus through a tantram when people modify the kernel that he holds the the trademark for.
I would support the death penalty if it was required that the jury which imposes it must also implement it. Line up 12 switches to trigger the killing machine and make them each flip one.
All that for 6 dollars a day to serve jury duty. If they chose jail time would they also have to serve that side by side?
And make it so that if any person on death row is later exonerated that the jury and prosecutors are automatically charged with attempted murder. And make it so that they are all automatically charged with murder if anyone innocent is executed by the state.
And if the person they decide is incocent turns out to be guilty and kills again would they also be charged for that persons murder?
I don't think I would want to live in a world whose judicial system you created.
I however have convieved the perfect legal system but my patent is pending
Why would mozilla maintain two versions? Debian is not asking Mozilla to maintain their browser.
I don't think you understand the implications for Debian here.
When Debian releases a stable version no upgrades may be allowed in, only security updates and those should not add new features.
Now if you actually read the bug report that Mozilla filed, they are giving Debian 2 options
1) Allow firefox to upgrade to newer versions which ruins Debian's very design of stable (plus hope other package developers don't start making the same demands.) or
2) For every security patch that Debian want's to apply to the frozen version of firefox, they have to wait until someone from Mozilla signs off on the patch.
The difference being of course that windows has access to windows source where WINE does not.
What is amazing is that wine supports so many window apps without this. You would expect Microsoft to be at 99%.
Also, to borrow your language, I can run a fuckload more windows apps under Wine than I can linux apps in windows.
I know the feeling. I bought a socket 939 board in February and that series started to phase out soon afterwards.
I bought that board so it would be relevant for a while.
Now that's just cheesy.
Even I want to mod me down for that one.

You can't say that here!!!
I wish I had the day off
No, I did too. I thought it was another creation story at first.
Well, assuming that the forum in question is the on one from the link under your name, it works perfectly in Konqueror.
Maybe going to space will make the world a better place for the next generation.
Life is life. There has always been problems in the world and there always will.
Techonoldy and progress cannot stop while waiting for a utopia that will never come.
Maybe they are planning a whole slew of security fixes in 07 and want to make sure to include them in serve pack 3.
Or maybe they just don't care....
I've heard a lot of sick things from both sides of the fence but this tops it.
Where is the Linux version? Oh well...
Yes I am
How many species of animal and plant have become extinct before man became the dominant species on this planet?
I don't know. I can leave a book in the bathroom for reading. Probably wouldn't do that for a PDA.
I has waiting for that... or cdrecrord

You don't understand the issue if you don't think this will not effect Ubuntu as well.
Even if it was a big population, it's not like Debian is switching to IE7 so I am not sure how it would increase IE's marketshare.
I guess I am one of the one percent :)
