I don't understand your point... are you complaining that drupal without a wysiwyg editor is too complicated because a non-tech user can't be expected to, for example, properly put a file on a server then link to the correct url of that file? Or that drupal with a wysiwyg editor allows a non-tech user to do what he wants (or what he thinks he wants...), resulting in auto-generated html that is not as efficient than if someone competent in html had hand-written it?
In short, what do you expect from a CMS exactly?
Drupal is user-friendly if properly set up. It is indeed very difficult to do so, as it requires a fairly good knowledge of the CMS. But a properly set up drupal site is really easy to manage even for non-tech users. The problem is, very few sites are properly set up.
The third sample failed at readability (ambiguous operator precedence) and I would have immediately subjected it to re-factoring.
The operator precedence have nothing to do with the maliciousness of the code (if the third sample is the code from John Meacham). This part could have been refactored any way you'd like, the exploit is in the algorithm itself.
around 10 years ago, I was in high school and played 4-players Goldeneye on a 12" tv. Each player had a 6" subscreen.
Now that I have a job and enough money to be able to buy things, I have a 42" tv. Can't imagine why I wouldn't be able to play a 16 players split-screen game with a 10.5" subscreen for each player (except I would need lots of controllers and beers).
By paying for it, you are encouraging them to make more.
Well, let's just put available for free on as many p2p networks as possible, and pedophiles would get their fix for free no money would go in the pockets of the filmmakers.
After all, that's how they say it works: pirating music and movies is killing the industry, if we encourage pirating child porn this industry could totally disappear, right?
There are two big open source cms: drupal and ezpublish.
worpress is a blog engine, not a cms (even if it has some cms features and is extensible)
joomla is certainly the worst available cms, but is widely used because it is easy to start with even without any knowledge. And this is maybe its only strong point.
security in joomla is a joke, and with joomla and a ftp on a same server I wouldn't worry about the ftp.
If Lucas gets someone else to direct the next Star Wars movies, he might possibly find someone as good as Kershner was, but he's got an even better chance of finding someone better than Lucas was.
Future star wars movies could use a better director than Lucas, but what is really needed is that they find a better writer than Lucas. It should not be too difficult.
There are people who literally pay other people to handle their Farmville account while they're on vacation. That doesn't sound like time enjoyed wasting.
The one spending time is paid for doing so, and the one with the account does not spend his time with the game: There is no wasted time in that case. Money, however...
Uhh...so students for whom English was not their native language did not read and write English as well as native English speakers in the US? This surprised you?
Maybe you should read the previous comment again. And slower.
Diaspora being a distributed network, reserving your username is useless because if it works, ther will be a number of different providers where you will be able to have this username.
Did you also register to every e-mail provider just to get this username before anyone else?
I haven't seen any vibrant displays of intelligence from either cats or dogs, and I've owned many of both as you have.
My current cat (I've had several some years ago) learned how to open doors just by watching humans do it, with no training involved (we would have preferred if she never learned that). She also discovered on her own how to open the drawer under the fishtank in order to have a good place where she can sit looking at the fishes.
But after several months she haven't figured out that no matter how hard she tries, she can't catch the fishes through the glass, so there's that...
Isn't one of the advantages of Android the ability to install apps from other than the Google app store? So people who really want this thing can still get it, independently of Google's disapproving glare, right?
I think it may have something to do with java, as most java-based applications that I've ever tried on both linux and windows tend to run a lot better on linux.
(disclaimer: "most java-based applications that I've ever tried on both linux and windows" means openoffice, eclipse and netbeans. and it seems openoffice doesn't use much java, but that won't stop me from thinking java on windows is slow)
I assume that when you develop a game for the desktop, you develop it for the latest Windows version with some care over portability to the version prior to that and that's it.
"sans" is the french word for "without", but the french word "issue" doesn't have the same meaning than the english word, as it actually means "exit".
"sans issue" means "dead end".

Really? How often do people leave their keys lying around? Or blindly hand them to a stranger?
How often do they put their keys into their mailbox for someone else to get it in order to feed the cat while they're on vacation?

Fragmentation on android is a myth.
No ssh in and make my project using gcc? What is up? Or am I clueless...
Yeah no kidding, I can't even use Visual C++ on this OS. What a turd...
Worse, I wanted to print something and apparently there's no driver for my standard, HB (#2) pencil.
What about the 2-kinects video where the scene was shown from the viewpoint of a non-existant camera located somewhere between the two kinects?

On my computer, Shift+é is 2. Caps lock + é is É.
That's on linux: on windows, caps lock + é is 2, and É is alt + 02##.
I guess I could configure it to work with shift, but don't feel the need.

People still use Joomla?

Churchill, if I remember correctly.

Genuinely curious about this.
Yes.

You'd ignore the windows XP market?
What if you had to text your regular password to facebook to get a one time pass.
Then you would have to delete your text history every time you use this feature.
a lot of people who use have smartphones with a facebook app, so if someone steals the phone they already have access to your fb account.
