However, u may have difficulties if installing it because the installer is not so smooth. It is command-live version in windows. u can install MPUI or smplayer for GUI. And if u could install these successfully, u dont need to bother of any media-file at all....but "if".

To get rid of the annoying behavior of that tkbell or other similar stuffs, I would strongly recommend u to install "Spybot - search and distroy". It does a good job. It has an option which lets it stay in ur system-tray and keeps monitoring if there is any registry change. If some program attempts to do it, it asks u if u want it or not. If u allow, it will let it happen...otherwise not. By using this, u can control all the annoying automatic startup behavior of M$'s crapware (e.g. MSN-chat or Yahoo-chat or some kind of pornware).

I would say, use realplayer with Spybot installed....and of course, mplayer too ;)

well, I don't understand why ppl r so critical abt realplayer. Isn't it an Internet standard for playing audio/video? Go to BBC or some porn sites...it offers both in Windows Media format as well as in Realplayer format. Of course, one can choose the Windows Media format (with mplayerplugin or mediaconnectivity(FF extension) support in linux) but that doesn't do the job. Using non-realplayer formats have a huge disadvantage that "seeking" is not possible. You can't seek a position in a streaming video or audio...if u try, the streaming stops. However, with realplayer, u can always do it and it indeed is very useful and convenient for users (whether u accept it or not).

One addition: In Linux, there is no .tmp extension.....just "FlashiEzKDL" kind of names....rename it to "xxxxporn.flv" and it works like a charm. One can use format converter to convert it into other more common formats (e.g. ogg or avi or mpg). Thanks!

2). It has a hell lot of Helium-3. He was certainly an idiot. I didn't hear anyone saying like this. Instead, the problem is lying somewhere else. My brother bought one new PC by himself (without asking my recommendations)....he got a pre-installed XP. Well, anyway, when I went to India, I brought FC-6 for him (I chose FC6 because it came with 5 CDs and all the required software was already there in those CDs...other distros might have been difficult to deal with in absence of Internet)...I tried to install that on that computer but hell, although the video-card driver was recognized by FC6, it refused to display anything (even console mode couldn't be launched after pressing Ctrl+Alt+F2). Later I found that the computer he bought was something China made (the anti-virus software installed on that was "panda", very first time I heard of this anti-virus). Anyway, these are the problems...if you have a high speed Internet and a little of pre technical knowledge, you can choose linux...but if no, it is damn difficult to deal with...even if the FC6 would have worked properly, I think it was a almost impossible to play an mp3 or other patented but common formats (since, FC6 or linux distros are not shipped with support to these formats).

For ppl having a bit of technical background and also having a bit of opportunity, they certainly learn linux. In our institute from where I am having my B.Tech, we were having 400+ boxes running Redhat, around 50 boxes running Solaris and around same 50 boxes running Windows. The OS what we have been introduced to by the profs, was linux. No one taught us windows....ppl learned it by themselves because they had to do some HW which could be done on windows only (e.g. AutoCAD etc.). For those having their own PCs, most of them was having Linux also. It is not that people in India can't use Linux....they would love to use linux...only problem is opportunity and availability.

well, let me tell you some facts why India or china haven't done anything substantial if u r comparing with USA. India or China were under the colonies until around 60 years ago and during those time, they were not able to produce even a nail by their own because they were not allowed to. After that, freedom came (thanks to Mahatma Gandhi for his excellent non-violent leadership against the Britons and also thanks to Japanese and Germans for initiating the WW2), these countries started everything of their own from very scratch and after a course of 60 years, India and China both are doing exceptionally well and will continue to do to in future as well. Look at China, they sent their guy to space without any help from outside (and USA has regretted of their decision not to include China in their International Space Station project). Very soon, China will be standing in front of USA in every aspect, including space technology. Time has come that few people like you should wake up. Similar to China, India is also doing too good. Indians have proved themselves that they have capabilities. They are launching their satellites by their own rockets with exceptional success rate. The failure of GSLV (to put the satellites in Geo-Synchronous orbit, 36000Km away from the Earth) six months ago also didn't go in vain. They learned many things from that failure and have pin-pointed what went wrong and you will see a successful GSLV launch by mid of this year. You talked about nukes....the devices what India detonated in 1998 (includes two thermo-nuclear devices) was developed completely by their own (after the 1st nuke test in 1974, India was put under sanctions forbidding any help on nuclear issue). India is also planning to launch their first unmanned moon mission until 2005 and manned mission until 2020. Again, I would like to remind that this is only after 60 years of independence. Can you remember what USA were doing after their 60 years?!! They were searching gold in California and killing each-other on the issue of racism and slavery. India and China are in much better position. As far as dropping nukes are concerned, India has already a policy of not-first-nuclear-attack. Also, history says who used first nuclear bomb....it's USA killing thousands of innocent people in Japan. You should be ashamed of suggesting others on nuclear things. Others are not going to be as arrogant and barbarous as USA were. One free suggestion at last....think a bit before speaking anything!!
