43% of all software in use is pirated and therefore only 57% has been paid for. For every $100 of legit software in use, there is an amount of cracked software in use that would have cost $75.
$3.6 million? I wonder how long it will take the community to donate that amount?
Wikipedia can generate a few million when it needs to so I don't imagine it'll take a miracle for TPB to get $3.6mil. They'll probably have it by the time they get released!
I actually agree with what you're getting at; especially the part about the clique. Mustaine being kicked out was a good thing IMO. He had problems and needed to take control of his life and take responsibility for his actions. Not to mention we wouldn't have Megadeth!
And I totally agree about pre Black Album songs, they were great. Kill 'Em All sounds very.... rough (?), unperfected, very from the heart instead of manufactured maybe but has classic songs. That's why I liked SKoM; classic songs, performed by a band that's improved, practiced, and learn.
I'll have to wrap up around now, because I can't sit around on/. talking about metal all day, but I'll just say that I enjoyed everything up to Load, which felt distinctly mediocre. Ditto for ReLoad. St Anger was just... I won't even go there. Unfinished, but not in the same way that Kill em All was.
That should be hatred of their 'fans' (music pirates; as Ulrich sees them) and because of the shitty music. Saint Anger lost more fans than the whole Napster affair.
My faith was restored, so to speak, by Some Kind of Monster, and I am still a fan, but not as much as I used to be.
I, for one, will not be running out to buy the game just because it features Metallica.
I agree. I use AnyDVD on my HTPC to skip past those anti-piracy ads on the beginning of DVDs (Jesus, I bought the disc already don't bitch to me about pirates!) and automatically skip to the menu.
The same piece of software will also limit the speed of the drive, making it quieter.
I think it's more that they are pushing people to use Visual Studio 2005 (which works great with Vista) for.NET developing, but if you want to do VB6, Visual Studio 6 would be best.
In case you haven't noticed, after installing a copy of XP SP2, there are still quite a lot of patches to be downloaded. Only service packs are slipstreamed onto the retail media, not regular patches.
New CD keys need to be added, and they need to be available when installing. Therefore, the keys must be delivered in a service pack, as they need to be included on the CD.
(100/(100-43)) * 43 = 75.44

I wish he was incinerated.
And Mexico is North America's beard.
So, Fallout 3?
That's not ironic, that's just coincidental!
And that was pedantic.
Or he's from the UK, where "Erector Set" = "Meccano", a much less laughable name for a toy aimed at young (and old) boys!
Where would we be without rhetorical questions?

I take it we're talking about Virgin Media here? Previous level of quality?
I didn't realise Vigin had ever been high quality; everything's been going downhill for me since Virgin bought out my NTL connection.
I miss the ponies!
Guitar Hero: Aerosmith do it for ya?
There's an ACDC Rockband game IIRC and I think there was also talk of Guitar Hero: Slayer.
That's odd.... the things described as being space seem to smell exactly like Ozone.
How odd.
No, he'd waggle his arse .
A fanny would be a vagina in Britain.
Come on +5 informative!
All VBulletin forums have this; it's called "Tachy Goes to Coventry". DOn't ask why, and I don't know why it's not explained in detail. Or at all.
More admins should be aware of it.
No anger was interpreted!

Will I be getting the new album? By torrent, yes.

Overall, I've been extremely pleased with them.
I think it's more that they are pushing people to use Visual Studio 2005 (which works great with Vista) for .NET developing, but if you want to do VB6, Visual Studio 6 would be best.
So they need to support it.
Not if Google proves that they invented their concept before Sun did (they did file it in 2003, after all).
This doesn't look good for Sun's Blackbox project.
I have 8 sim cards.
Does that mean I get 8 votes?
1. have a heart attack
2. post to Slashdot
3. ???
4. profit!
Now it all makes sense!

And sex with children.
Rookie mistake, you forgot to thinkofthechildren.
Famine, Death, Pestilence and War? Sounds like the RIAA to me...
