There is a site online that has a database telling the location of E85 or straight ethanol distributors. For my state, the only one is a space center. So much for corn ethanol. Ive been saying it for quite some time that corn ethanol is a pipe dream and will always be that, but thats for another topic.

I suspect that racing will see a boon. Nothing quite like a 20,000 RPM ethanol engine screaming past you at 200 mph with no muffler. America needs to get their race on like the Europeans.
Still, bubble fusion isnt exactly new. About a decade ago a scientist at the lab I work for did the same thing with only ordinary water and sound waves. Nothing has come of it so far, so I suspect that this "new" technique is going to end up as vaporware too. It seems that all currently known lukewarm fusion methods suffer from never being able to break even.
Which would certainly be nice if we would have the technology to move a planet. What if Venus or Mercury would still be too hot to live on? At the point at which this occurs, we should have the technology to make artificial planets anyway. Maybe even artificial suns?
Driving 60, as opposed to 55, only saves you 1 minute if you drive 12 miles. Thats right, unless your driving a very long distance or really fast, 10 mph doesnt make that much of a difference at all and saves you so much on gas.
Its amixed bag with my Fiero and tailgaters. On one hand, nearly everyone blinds me because the car is so short. On the other hand, if someone was to rear-end me, I have 500 lbs of engine to stop them. =)
"It delivers over 15,000 3DMarks (as do a few of the other contestants), but 'only' costs $5,700 "
Which is in stark contrast to $600... You were saying?
Anarchy Online. Deep customization and events that do change the environment on the outcome of player response. The only thing that it lacks is elves and updated graphics. Then again, WoW graphics really arent all that great anyway.
I saw one of Dell's laptop commercials and the only processor options it stated were AMDs single and double core Turion. They are getting a little PR at least.
Considering they are doing so well without any form of mass attention tells me they really could deal a major blow to Intel if they advertised.
Then again, the shock value of telling people I use AMD is like telling them about my Fiero. "Wtf is AMD/Fiero?". ^_^
As an engineer, I am fully against the push for Java against more robust languages like C. However I am for whatever reason required to take it towards getting my degree. Through my experience with this language, I have learned that it is the most ironic language I know of. The purpose of OOP is to lay out your methods and classes in order and Java is a god example of OOP. However, Sun's Java API is the most disorganized API I have ever seen.
At least Microsoft has the Win32 API layed out by application, and not in alphabetical order. Say I want an action listener in Java. Well I'm screwed from the start because unless I know exactly what the method is named, I dont have much rom to lok around for it.
Anther thing is the Sun;s Windows Java compiler. "Horrible" is the first thing that comes to mind. However, compare this to Sun's Linux compiler, which is far more descriptive than Windows.
I think that GPLing Java is going to allow for better developed compilers at least. And maybe, just maybe, the JVM wont give me the "NoClassDefFound" exception for no fucking reason at all...
It seems to me that they are on the ball with it more than Microsoft. Sony sees bugs in their code and they fix and distribute them ASAP. Unlike Microsoft who waits around for weeks after the patch has been made to actually distribute it.
In general, I tend to have only one window open at a given time. I may, however, have several programs running. My typical day at work has Dev-C++, MPLab, Firefox, and other miscellaneous things going on that I peruse regularly. This is all on a Windows XP machine.
At home it tends to be the same. Only one window open at a time. Usually its only Firefox or Konqueror running and the occasional Terminal. (obviously I am running Linux)
I only have one window open at a time beause I like my work spread out in front of me, especially when working with very small parts (Microchip assembly code, for example) and I have to have a great sense of awareness about my work. Most of the time, the status bar takes up much of the on-screen real estate, so I dont like to have more than one window on screen at a time simply because for every screen you add, you get much less space in your owrking environment.

Star Wars/SpongeBob/et all are too passe'. Where are the trains and cityscapes that graced the magazines and catalogs I used to subscribe to? Just when it got good, they had to stop making that sweet Technic car with four wheel steering and a working gearbox. Its a shame that one day my Technic pieces might be worth their weight in gold.

Only one HD-DVD was sold last month?
Thank goodness for no net neutrality laws.
2/3's of trucks in America are never used for pulling anything. Sony isnt the first, nor the last to sell anything useless to customers.
Sony, I'm still waiting for the last SPU to be populated and the PS2 virtualization software...
Perhaps then you should stop taking evolution as fact, since it is, after all, unproven.
Hopefully any heuristic analysis can catch these exploits before they hit the right address. I'm still in no hurry to switch over to Vista though.
If you have enough intellect to build the thing, you should know how to add in a power jack and replace the batteries with rechargeable ones.
Except ice is less dense than water...

Dont you need CrossOverMac?

Can we post every other person's first impressions to playing Doom, Quake, Halo, et al then?
Trolling? I can think of at least a dozen games with more substance than Halo.
Actually, there is a powertoy just for this: http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/In stall/2/WXP/EN-US/DeskmanPowertoySetup.exe
Its not perfect, but it does do what it says. Sometimes it removes your background and I'm not sure of a workaround except not to switch desktops.
