Getting ahead of yourself there. First you need to be able to identify all the cancer cells and then know the person won't die instantly if you did "beam" them out. It would do wonders for moving cargo that is for sure. But don't forget the energy consumption as well.

Well, not quite so. If you watch, it is used more than just for reading, and seemed to support wireless capability to load data as referenced in the series. Many cases it was used to play music or to initialize some other program. Even in Deep Space Nine it was referenced as being used for games as well.
Surprised that some group out there hasn't taken upon itself to broadcast a consistent calculation of Pi out into space. That way we will finally get an alien invasion scenario just to get us to stop.
This comes to being a win-win situation. This guy doesn't want to go through a painful death. He is giving up his organs to others so they can continue living. Otherwise he lives on, his organs are wasted and he suffers. Sometimes keeping those alive who do not wish to live any longer can be just an inhumane as torture. Now if you refuse to grant this guy's request will he just place a Do Not resuscitate order on file and attempt to kill himself in a perhaps more painful manner than he wanted? Or since he has made his wishes known, do you just lock him up like he is a crazy person...
The ritual of killing one's self as to not be a burden to others isn't an uncommon one and is seen as more of a duty an honorable thing to do. Maybe he is thinking of his family and how they will suffer trying to take care of him and the medical bills that usually ensue.
Not entirely. Some people can simply not grasp the material. It does not matter how long those people spend studying, if you end up getting most everything wrong, you end up with a D or lower. Some minds are capable of getting a basic understanding of everything that comes their way. Other minds just aren't up to the task.
I could surely say there would be no 100% guarantee. But the percentage would be close to 100%. Those overseas aren't going to get held responsible and seek potential jail time like they would if they lived in the country in which these were sold in.
That is exactly my thoughts as well. They simply can not "prove" damages at all. There seems to be some kind of assumption that everything shared was downloaded thousands of times just because it was there. As a person who has served on a jury, you have to prove your case. The RIAA just hasn't proved it one bit. What if a computer was compromised? You'd be amazed what can happen when someone gets infected with a trojan. That is just an example of a possibility. So other than MediaSentry downloading the files, there is no proof of those files ever being downloaded by anyone else. The issue I guess is with ignorant people they get for some juries.
Agreed. Once I found out that the new Command & Conquer was going to have a DRM similar to that of Spore, I no longer had an interest in buying it. I had bought every single Command & Conquer that has come out to date, now with this newly added crap, that has ended.
It not being in space might have something to do with the amount of data it would have to transmit and the speed limitations... Besides, you can't replace Hubble, its impossible to exactly replicate that many technical difficulties...
Why is it insane to think that the plane crashed for any whatever reason, and the guy survived? Wouldn't be the first person to survive a plane crash. It can take awhile to find a plane when you aren't looking in the right place, especially if the plane had a navigation problem and ended up flying off-course.
Also, he could have survived the plane crash and traveled some distance but didn't get too far due to injuries. If he discovered the lake, it would be certainly possible he cleaned up, drank a little, etc. and left the stuff behind when emptying his pockets and the shirt from perhaps being hot.
It wouldn't be too hard for someone to know what shirt he was wearing the day he left or confirm it was in fact his or not. Might even be able to identify fingerprints on the items if he had any on record or if you checked for fingerprints on his possessions.
Packard Bell is the thing that holds up my desk. Best use I ever got out of one. Though its still shaky at times, I give it a boot every once in awhile. No power cord attached naturally:)
Ofcourse these players will stop being made, Microsoft doesn't make them, Toshiba does.
Though the price mentioned is only the current price, not the original...
The way they are comparing it wouldn't be much different than me saying that the exposure to the back of my hand across your face increases the chance that you will go and shoot up a school...
I know it is wishful thinking and all, but how about having laptop designs from all manufacturers follow a certain number of standard design. This case when a motherboard fails it isn't a ridiculously expensive replacement you must get.

I thought that was the early appearance of the creative use of sea shells?

Maybe Steve Jobs stumbled onto a Time ship and steals technology from the future? The IPad is just his inferior interpretation of what is available.

I thought you didn't need citations for jokes... or was he being serious?

MAC addresses can be spoofed, and have been to gain access to wireless networks people thought were secure with MAC filtering.

You think that is great? Get a big screen TV and play Super Mario Bros. 3 on big world.

No, removing any data that could prove the possibility of Extraterrestrial life :P

I sense the return of Robot Wars!!!
Or as the one error I ran into with Windows Server 2003, "Catastrophic Failure". That sounds about right.
My Via C3 system is running fantastic with XP SP3. Take that AMD and Intel!
