The new wording puts a spin on this.

The rebate goes from 1500-4500 depending on how much cleaner the new car is in comparison to the older one.

Personally, I think the US should lax up on safety regulations and work with the EU to make a worldwide standard on auto safety regulations.

That way, auto manufactures can create vehicles that meet the minimum safety requirements and produce fewer emissions than older vehicles. While at the same time offering premium demanded vehicles that offer greater safety for consumers.

As for Linux hardware support. I'd venture to guess that Linux hardware support is better than that of windows Hardware support. Just try installing Ubuntu on any machine in your house.

Windows is wierd, Vista(pre SP1) great on my old Asus a7v8x deluxe with an Athlon xp 3200 and ge force 6800 ultra. I setup a New core 2 duo machine, and it ran noticeably slower. So I use linux/XP on my newer more powerful machine which did see a boost in speed.

The only reason I can guess that this works so well is that many of the beta testers were using basically the same hardware setup for Vista.

Small problem with your theory on gas consumption. Truckers are more often than not paid based on getting the cargo to a destination at a specific time. Walmart makes you set an appointment 48 hours in advance and you have to be there +- 20 minutes. It's all automated, if you miss your window you have to wait another 48 hours to get into the DC.

It's really a horrible system. I'll bet money if a DOT officer stood at the gates of a Walmart DC he would find 30 percent of drivers are at the limit or worse.

Trucking companies in general, hate Walmart with a passion. You only take on Walmart contracts if you really have no choice due to a less than stellar record or something. Truckers have no care about their Walmart cargo either. Thus, part of the reason most Walmart products fall apart in a spectacular fashion.

Anthem insurance = suckage, Rape, Vomit, crap...

I'm very seriously considering the idea of walking away and insuring into stocks instead. If it wasn't for companies like Anthem who refuse to pay for anything without 30 pages of documentation. Insurance would cost less.

Because right now, roughly half or more of medical costs in this country are administrative costs.

I think I could negotiate better deals with doctors and hospitals if I was to pay cash instead of insurance. They wouldn't have to carry any administration costs on me.

However, insurance companies have fucked this proccess too. They've made it so hospitals charge non insurance members a 1000 percent increase.

Case in point, I go in for an xray. At the hospital if I were to pay in cash they charge 800 dollars. If you have insurance, they negotiate this down to 52 dollars at the most.

However, if you go someplace like a health center or community based clinic. The cost drops down to 18 dollars by paying cash. If you submit for the insurance reimbursement. They don't send you the amount on the retail rate. They send you the amount based on the cost. I think they should be forced to give you the going rate reimbursement.

If you find a lower cost they should pickup the whole tab and reimburse that.
