Oh, no I didn't meant to imply they were mutually exclusive. I'm well aware many graphic novels are merely compilations of comic books. I just think it's unfair to say "graphic novel" is a term coined to avoid the stigma associated with the term "comic book." They have discrete, but associated meanings.
Thank you for saying this. I hate when people act like children can't grasp anything beyond the most basic of ideas. And even when they don't understand it is often not lack of faculty, but merely the necessity of preamble or explanation.
Comic books are different from graphical novels in the same way a serialized story is different from a novel. A novel is significantly longer and the entire story (or plot arc) is available at once to you. I'm not a comic book nerd by any stretch so I can't offer specifics as to page numbers, but I'm pretty sure comic books are usually no more than 20 pages and you'd be hard pressed to find a graphic novel that is less than 100 pages.
you yourself probably wish you could fight like Jason Bourne
Jason Bourne's martial art is Arnis, aka Filipino stick fighting (stick moves translate well to empty hand moves). I am a student of Arnis, so yes, I can fight like Jason Bourne;).
He was referring to MACROevolution. Not micro. You just demonstrated microevolution. Macroevolution refers to speciation through the forces of evolution. There are quite a few religious people out there who support and believe in microevolution but not macro.
Have you considered getting one or two PS3s? I'm not sure what audio processing software your running, but if you just need more cores you might be better off with a solution like linux clustering.
You could also look into CUDA/OpenCL using one or more graphics cards.
What if you steal cable? Not that I... er... um... that is to say... I don't watch much? Oh nevermind.
Frankly I think it's a good thing The SciFi channel is changing to SyFy. The SciFi channel has been going downhill for a long time and has only a handful of scifi that it shows. Let's all take SyFy to mean "Sciencey Fantasy" which is what most of the crap that gets labeled scifi really is anyway. Star Wars = SyFy. And I'm not saying Star Wars is crap--I love (the orignal) Star Wars movies. But they are not scifi. To me, true science fiction is something that uses science or technology to comment on the human condition. That's my $0.02 anyway.
--So sayeth the guy who runs the ##scifi channel on freenode.
And this affects Joe Schmoe how? Knowing how much water is on the planet helps him in his desk job how? It helps him pay his bills how? It helps him keep his marriage together how? Knowing who last year's American Idol was might win him tickets from a radio show or keep him connected with his daughters, or give him a conversation topic with his boss. More often than not, people know pretty damn close to exactly how much they need to know to survive. (don't hate me or mod me down--playing devil's advocate here.)
If it's not illegal to take pictures of my face when I'm in public, why should it be illegal to take pictures of an open ATM in public?
Wouldn't it be nice if the E.U. could somehow gain leverage and apply pressure on the U.S. government to reform?
As an American and an Atheist, I say to this: "God Yes."
I remember, back in the day, when all malware was written in borland C/C++.
Er.. not that i wrote malware. >_>
it's not just $99 for 10/10Mbps internet, but cable and phone as well, which is freaking amazing.
Same thing happens with environmentalists, animal activists, vegans / raw food dieters. Dear god, the raw foodies are just /awful/.
or blastula or gastrula
Well If I had known you read slashdot, I wouldn't have made fun of you as much, Mrs. Palin.
Quit using windex/bleach on your computer mother boards!
Parent's command only works after you touch testes
you could buy a lower ID. Also, some of the achievements are jokes and will be gone tomorrow.

I love you.
And parent is at +4 funny at the time I posted. Fractoid is right and it's good to see the system works.
Both my coworker and I run RHEL5.2 on our workstations. Both of our X servers crashed when we tried to view the wikileaks page on Denmark's ban list.
I smell a conspiracy!!
Or a bug.

Because part of a prosthetic is to make the wearer feel whole again. It's an emotionally trying ordeal to loose a part of their body for most people.
