    Why obviously? The only definition of a species is that two organisms that cannot mate are, by definition, different species.

    It's not the lack of hops that makes the difference between whisky and beer it's the removal of the water by, er... distillation. Distillation can be done by freezing or evaporation. They even call it distillation in the article.

    Even if you think the hops make a difference, they still end up with distilled spirit rather than a brewed liquid.

    Websites generally aren't copyrighted material or are put up by the creator for public access.

    It is pretty obvious from the example that the material didn't belong to the site.

    "... I didn't distribute anything or copy anything ..." Although I agree with most of your post, technically a copy is made to your machine to play the video (or at least a moving buffer of part of the content). This would be regarded as a copy. I think there was a case that dealt with this some time ago. I'm sure slashdot mentioned it.

    Flash hasn't been like that for years. You think every browser is going to implement HTML5/JS in the same way? Are you going to have to write different code for each browser. Flash/Flex allows you to do that and create a desktop app with the same functionality for very little extra work.

    Flash is open. Anyone is allowed to create swf files using whatever method they choose. They can write their own compiler if they wish.

    The reason it is such a large study is to counteract the problems you mention (like some people may drink green tea and have a lower risk of cancer anyway). A big study makes it more likely that there are the same proportion of green tea drinkers in the control group and the test group.

    Erm, blue and green are higher energy than red. (look at a rainbow, red is at one end and blue at the other with green somewhere in the middle (ROYGBIV)).
