    I though people wanted MS to play nicer and I though MS theyself wanted to have a nicer image as well, because the old "aggressive" image was bad. So they do that and have a better nicer image now, and this is bad as well... hmm...

    Well Einstein... Fixing one bug doesn't mean that you will re-visit the whole thing... Even the simplest code in Windowss is part of the BIG SYSTEM, with any component interacts with others . And this is a very complex system. Nobody does as he says. Fopr example, patching a problem with the Linuzzzz kernel doesn't mean that it's patched forever... Nobody can predict that some other problems will raise even with the newly patched code... Oh yes, another thing... MacAfee is the perfect software, I forgot...

    I'm working for an university which uses mostly Windows but in MY department they use all Macs.... I would DIE to use Windows instead or at least (god forbid) Linuzzz.... No luck until now but this may be changing fortunatly with the new leadership. The point is: t depends on who decides over you. A flexible boss may make your dreams come true.

    I always ROTFLMYO when people who don't have a clue about software say with the eyes shining of heavenly happiness(mystical voice on) But hey, it's OPEN SOURCE (mystical voice off)... Sure, OS is the cure for cancer as well.

    OS is like everything elese: there are some good pieces of software and some real crap out there. Most of OS is like everything else, normal software. OS is not heaven and have a lot of problems as well... Linuzzzzzz and OS is not better not worse than enything else. OTOH if you are religious...

    Yeah, because everyone in Germany will buy the computer without an OS. YOU have some technical knowledge and can take the initiative. 99% of the users couldn't care less about what OS is installed, Vista, some Linuzz crap or bread and butter, so keep it simple...
