    This is warrantless search we are talking about. The gov't would still be able to get anything they wanted to know with a warrant same as always.

    Email is not in anyway a public forum. Your Facebook wall however with your 3,531 "friends" is fairly public.

    What if all the pictures on your phone (on many they are automaticity backed up to the cloud) were to be automatically forwarded to your local police dept if you didn't delete them after six months just in case lets Assume its not their job to look at them but they could if they wanted to without having to ask anyone.

    Would that also be ok?

    I don't think that's remotely the shipping companies job unless via court order but I've never heard of that happening.

    AFAIK I can get any size transformer and meter installed at my house as I am willing to pay for without being questioned on why I need a 250KVA transformer.

    They tend to be much more concerned with people stealing power than they are with people using obnoxious amounts and paying their bill on time.

    I doubt the electric company would disconnect power unless the bill wasn't paid.

    And the last part that's like the school teachers that punish the whole class because the same @hole that always talks through the whole class wouldn't be quiet again.

    Its supposed to have one of two outcomes.
    1. Shame the person into behaving in class.
    Or more likely.
    2. After a few times get the other 74 people in the class mad enough from being wrongfully punished that they beat the unruly student to death during lunch break.

    Sure it might be effective some of the time but I don't think it should be legal.

    City water? Funny you mention that here they sent out notices that the city water did not meet EPA requirements 3 months after the incident.

  9. Lets just hope your right as it wouldn't be the first time a company has done something extremely stupid. I was already expecting any roadworthy SDV to be able to drive at night as well as in the daytime..but I'll be suprised if the first ones to market handle rain.

    I haven't been counting but I know there aren't that many motorcycles in this area so a bunch.

    imho dropping the yearly vehicle inspection wasn't the best idea.

    Like how cellphone companies still have exclusivity deals.

    Nokia doesn't like to sell cellphones so they just take the bribes At&t gives them so they can greatly limit the market they sell to.

    Lumia 1020 on Verizon? Almost 3 years later? Nope still exclusive.

    Well the light wouldn't be on when I switched the wifi on.

    But I suppose its not really the same as wifi is on 99% of the time so it would be more noticeable if its light didn't work than it would if the light on one of the built in webcams on one of my laptops didn't work as I don't remember checking to see if the webcams themselves even work.

    My wifi switch already has this as long as wifi is on light is lit flip the switch light goes off wifi quits working.

    Here in my area I'd say about 1 in 20 have the cameras taped over and once in awhile I see someone with the camera taped over on their phone and tablet.

    Although I have not seen one person that's set up a defense for a hot mic yet.

    Yes I remember that imho thats killed a lot of people by hampering actual vaccination campaigns.

    Not to mention the doctors that have been killed under suspicion since then.

  17. The sims online was one of the first ones to shut down their server. I still have the original install discs but without a server i have no way to make use of them.

    Of course it still has to have the correct driver installed to open it.

    Want to be extra annoyed? plug it into a different usb port then it has to install the exact same driver again for the new port XD

    it was changed in vista actually.

    Back in winxp you could use something like ihound on your flashdrives to keep track of them.

    But then vista wouldn't do the auto run so AFAIK no one else has made a lojack for flash drives.

    Voting with my wallet means I use amazon or google to pay for things any time they are offered.

    That is how i'm told capitalism is supposed to work.

    I sent Paypal support a message yesterday about opting out of offers for Paypal credit. This is part of what I got back:

    I certainly don't have the kind of money and expertise required to go into competition with them but someone really needs to......Oh yeah that's right bitcoin is actually bigger than any of Paypal's competitors AFAIK.

  25. No usually it's the least qualified by knowledge and most qualified by responsibility that gets to make such choices: the parents.

    I think they should be doing whatever they think will give their child the best quality of life. Of course that also implies that they ought to be making informed decisions.
