    Where I live... Sonic requires the bundling of telephone service with their internet service. I can obtain internet service from Comcast without telephone service for a lower price. And, Sonic's voice service uses obsolete analog telephone technology.

    Instead, what is does is impede is law enforcement's investigations when no known crime has been committed.

    You can only partially opt-out. Google is intending to use your name and picture without your consent:

      "This setting only applies to use in ads, and doesn't change whether your Profile name or photo may be used in other places such as Google Play,"

    It is a badly written article. We don't know why the site was required to pay damages.

    The article says it was for offensive, but also defamatory, and threatening posts. Posting defamatory posts have always been illegal. If the site was sued for defamatory posts that the site refused to remove, then this is nothing new.

    After this happened with my yahoo contact list, I changed my linkedin e-mail to a non-yahoo email. I received a message from linkedin that they could not access my contact list and they told me to change my e-mail service provider.

    I think as a whole it is a bad ruling.

    The part where he ruled circumventing a Dongle to use software you are legally entitled to use is not illegal is good.

    But, GE was illegally using software which it did not have the rights to use with of without the Dongle, which the judge said is OK. This part of his ruling is bad.
