From the TFA: "The European space plane, a specially-adapted Airbus A300 operated out of Bordeaux, flies in a series of roller-coaster like parabolas, creating between 20 and 22 seconds of weightlessness at the top of the curve, a process repeated around 30 times for a 3-hour flight.
As well as the challenge of working in zero gravity, the surgical team will have to halt their work each time the plane pulls out and gravity resumes."
22 seconds multiplied by 30 is 660 seconds, that is only 11 minutes of surgery for 3 hours. I wonder if that tumor could be removed during this 3 hour session.
(I'm getting dizzy already, I'm not a rollercoaster type of person)
and from TFA: "The products are delivered to consumers by a robotic arm and are run from a central location, similar to the way automated teller machines are operated."
I would too.. because 5 years ago, I got a Pentium 1 - 166mhz non mmx pc with 48mb of ram (upgraded) and an Imac DV 1999 candy models (G3 processor-400mhz)
I agree with you... I would prefer good functionality + decent UI than a "cube" screen interface on a 2d monitor. Maybe I would install this when they release "cube" monitors... (hey, had anyone filed a patent for that?)
The article was just posted... you just made one of the fastest download and installation of a new linux OS on a Macbook Pro and run it long enough to make it hot.
If it was retail price I agree that he could not even pay that $5 million. If I compare it with the pirates here at our country, the rule of the thumb for them is usually the price of the media/disc * 15 which usually falls on around $2.0 - $2.25 per software/disc. So for every $30 "average" retail price software out there, he makes $2 which would amount to only around $1.2 million. It is still a very high profit considering there is a very little expense but he is sure bound to be broke because of that $5 million fine. Anyway... just my $0.02 * 15
1. It is readily available and quite cheap 2. They are all the same specs, so what you develop for 1 xbox would have "almost" the same performance as with all xbox 3. It could be readily plugged into the television set and be unplugged as easily. 4. More glove sales:) (hmmm.. I could already think of some uses for those gloves that this)
"After four years of collecting and photographing samples of all the chemical elements, months of struggling to select the very best example of each one, and further months of working on the best possible printing quality, I am pleased to say that you can now buy a copy of my photographic periodic table poster."
Nice work! But I'm really not sure about elements like Rh, Bh, Sg... Are you sure they are the best examples of each element?
The airtime of the episode conflicts with the schedule of our raid... too bad :)

...and here I though that Ajax is being used to make the coffee "foam"
Don't tell me you're trying to find the half naked girl near a farm house on the 3rd picture...
It's like a SIMONE thing. Besides do you think Larry would do that favor for slashdotters considering our current reputation of... oh nevermind...

:)
That is how I interpreted the title.

I believe Jerry mouse had it his way this time, poor Tomcat.
:)
On a related note:
Last time I checked, our country only had 4 italian training jets for our air defense. Maybe they're going to donate those things

hmmm... nope, I'm not saying anything...

I don't know what you guys are talking about but all i see is an open cabinet. I'm sure it would work. :)
If all of China supports this initiative, we might have for ourselves another competitive processor maker, ZMET.
I wonder how long before they catch up with the "core" race...
that's why I am a believer that hard drives are female.
it could be possible (maybe someone would tweak it in the future), but I doubt your existing crt/lcd would support that :)
What would improve is the quality of the games both in physics and in AI.
Why was it code named "Kentsfield"?
Did I miss something here... I thought it was called Kentsfarm?
I would too.. because 5 years ago, I got a Pentium 1 - 166mhz non mmx pc with 48mb of ram (upgraded) and an Imac DV 1999 candy models (G3 processor-400mhz)
You're not talking about the basement? right?
If I read the title right, I found this in the FA.
And Brinkworth plans "to shrink the prototype and place it on a microchip that could go between a camera's sensor and its digital converter."
next problem: how to shrink a fly
A question: How many times did the house fly inspired us? Could I still kill them?

Some speculationis to your question.

nope, maybe vista will (all fingers crossed), but IE7 have it under View - Encoding - Right to Left.
:)
I heard some third party tools will do it for you under win xp pro, but I had not yet bothered to look for them.
Maybe this is why my mom doesn't find computers easy to use, I haven't thought of that possibility.
