Absolutely not: the fate of Ireland's IT has NOTHING to do with what their ISP will or won't do. It has everything to do with competitivity. The irish ISPs may even benefit from licking the MAFIAA's boots, there are always rewards for willing slaves. But no, there won't be any form of backlash, especially from consumers. The time a stand could be taken to keep the Net the way we wanted is now irrevocably gone. It's over. The fight for freedom will be moving elsewhere. Thanks for not doing anything, folks.

If you try to forcibly redistribute the wealth, what happens is that the wealthy have no reason to stay in your country anymore. If they have any activity left in your country they will shut it down and fire all the workers, so you'll have more unemployed and needy people. And should you ever impose socialism on the whole world, than there will be no more incentive to amass wealth so everyone will be equally poor. This is not an arm-wrestling match you're having with the rich, it's a tug of war with a loaded shotgun, you're desperately pulling the barrel aimed straight at your chest, and their finger rests confortably on the trigger.
