Dude, when I discuss in french with a foreign guy who does not seem to master this language, I do not pay attention to such things. I mean, for instance, if he says "Tu" instead of "Vous", it no problem. Only stupid people and grammar nazis see rudeness everywhere.
About french and english, it is mostly that the majority of yound people does know some bits of english but speak so badly that they are ashamed of it and won't event try. Futhermore, they will probably not understand your accent if you do not speak really slowly and with reduced accentuation. Foreign languages education in France is absolutely terrible. We mostly get incompetent, french teachers instead of natives. Here stands the secret of the famous "french accent"
Let's burn the writers instead.
CROWD:
A writer! A writer! A writer! A writer! We've found a writer! A writer! A writer! A writer! A writer! We've got a writer! A writer! A writer! Burn her! Burn her! Burn her! We've found a writer! We've found a writer! A writer! A writer! A writer!
VILLAGER #1:
We have found a writer. May we burn her?
CROWD:
Burn her! Burn! Burn her! Burn her!
PDF support sucks on e-ink readers. You have to resize the pages or it's not readable. Better have no support than half-baked; I'd rather use a separate converter.
No, I don't think this is flamebait. It's more like an useless anti-fanboyism pointless and sour rant. It does not bring anything new, it just states what tests said and that strangely, ZOMG people can be satisfied by an imperfect product and not wait for the next vaporware E-Reader.
Yeah, multitasking sucks so much on a single CPU that it has existed for decades. UNIX or any realtime os, even the average mono core/cpu music player can multitask (display+controls+music thread on the player), or at least simulate multitasking. No, APIs and lack of interest from design teams were definitely the problem. Look at the 360: I can play my own music when the game is loading, and at the same time on Assassin Creed I can move my character while listening to tips, isn't that multitasking?
To me, it was not a dev problem but a laziness/reduce the costs issue.
Oops. About the hedges, these do not really absorb much excesses. They fix the land and prevent landslides, keep the water in place until it dries. I knew it was flood related but I've just remembered this.
I read the article and I am still not convinced. And my comparison holds more than you can imagine...
In the past, we kept marshes mostly untouched because it gave nice buffer zones for floods and provided all kinds of plants and animals. Well, let's destroy this stuff and set all over, it's easier to cross and we'll have fertile lands.
In the past, corn fields and such were separated by hedges, thus absorbing excesses of water when rivers went over. Let's get rid of this 'cause it's easier for machines.
In the past, we used to respect somehow the earth we lived on and the water because our food grows on it and we drink the water. Let's dirty the water and create big dumps, we'll clean up when we can.
We have new machines that rejects gases that darken our cities and sting our lungs, but these are really nice. Oh, we'll solve the issues later.
Do you see what I mean? Each time we have a solution to a problem, we postpone the problem and forget the original solution because it's easier.
Yeah, this 600 years stuff is nice but who will remember to adjust clocks in 600 years? It's far better to have an instantaneous solution to the problem than a remote one.
It was rumored that they will use a reallydissuasive price. Something like 1000 euros could even be possible. They are forced to make it unlocked, but not forced to make it cheap...

Nice, I move to Austin in august...
That is what macrovision was for.
Oooh yeah. *remembering cute girl with high heels and light summer clothes playing DDR*.
This was a hot summer!
Strangely, I do not feel the same about boxing...
Yeah, of course the only things I miss while playing Sonic are a slow display and clunky buttons.
Fortunately, with Guitar Hero, you're not splashed by the player's sweat when he's playing hard songs.
Grammar nazis are really the ultimate form of fundamentalism.
Sex is a better excuse.
Well...
Now I'm convinced, Jesus walked on water with its tentacles.

Reality does not matter as long as customers feel secure.

Seems like it's humanity way of things. Floods? Overpopulation? Pollution? Climate changes? Let's wait eons and solve this later.
We never learn.

No, we mean if the system gets a major critical security hole, you aren't fucked. It's Windows, dude...
DivX dying? I guess you did not see all these certified players. And you probably do not know that some DivX certifications include h264 too.
