Xamarin supporting Attachmate's Mono stuff means a lot to me, as a developer. I work for a company that does a lot of Mono-based consulting. This is going to sound like advertising, but having Mono for Android and MonoTouch makes life as a mobile developer easy. For example, my coworkers have been working on an iPhone application for a client using MonoTouch, using MonoTouch.Dialog. The client wanted a dual launch with an Android app, and since we were using all Mono-based projects in an MVC pattern, all we had to do was rewrite the UI for Android. Most of the screens had a lot code that could be reused with MonoDroid.Dialog. That means that even though the iPhone project started two months before the Android one, it only took one month to catch up to iPhone. That's two months that I spent utilizing my time towards other clients, and two months that we didn't have to bill to this client. When I punch those numbers into my calculator, it makes a happy face.
'Agile' is a class of software methodologies. A popular Agile methodology is called Scrum. An excellent resource on how to conduct a Scrum shop is 'Agile Project Management with Scrum,' by Ken Schwaber. A good place to get started is http://www.mountaingoatsoftware.com/scrum/.
Well... 1. That the number of pages in a book is proportional to the amount of useful content it contains. "There is no wasted space or text in this book. Its worth every cent of its $34.95 price."
2. That anyone needs a manual to start using Windows Vista. I'm sure that some people do.
So I change my identification in Konqueror to IE 6.0 on XP. Quoth the page:
"We notice you're not using Windows Media Player 9 or later. To continue, please visit this page after installing Windows Media Player 9 or later."
Foiled again.

Nobody should ever say that an OS is bad because it's old. Different operating systems are meant to be applied differently. Windows (and I mean all versions) are all good in their own respects, even the older ones (think Windows 1.0 commercial with Steve Ballmer), if only as a negative reference. One of the reasons that Unix-type systems are growing in number is that some people took an operating system and actually put some care into it. They stuck to it and keep evolving it, which can definitely not be said of Vista, which is a rewrite of Windows. Is there anything wrong with Windows XP now? Definitely. Was there anything wrong with Windows 98/ME when they reached their End-of-Service? Definitely. Are there things that are still wrong with Unix systems? Definitely. So what's the difference? "They're all old and they suck." Well, here's the main difference: Unix-based systems haven't been given up on. In fact, you can still run versions on really old PCs, but you can run it on the newest stuff, too. In case you haven't noticed, Windows 98 works. And it takes up much less resources than XP or Vista. In that regard, I'd say it's better. However, Microsoft has stopped supporting it, even though it's still not perfect. I can say that if Windows 98 had the support now that XP has, I'd be running it on a dual-boot, since it's small and fast enough that I wouldn't really care about the disk space.
Really, there's no such thing as a bad OS, just a bad implementation. Unix is changing in popularity because it's changing its ability to be implemented successfully in a desktop.
Uh-huh. And because it doesn't work without an operating system, it won't even be able to install other operating systems. Well, that even screws over OEMS. I'm glad that HP sells PCs with Windows already installed, so I don't have to deal with a computer that doesn't work.
Well, it's not to say that Germans don't have racism. After all, even in the US, we have racism against the illegal aliens coming in and taking jobs, not even speaking English. Well, it's sort of similar in Germany. Turkish people come in, they don't all speak the language, either. After all, since Turkey's not in the EU, they're not as financially well off. Just remember when you bash Germans for racism that we were turning boats full of fleeing Jews back to Nazi Germany, where they were probably executed.
The problem isn't only with the operating system, it's with the software as well. If software isn't written to achieve interoperability, then of course it won't be. It's just another step that needs to be taken.
I have a CD from Germany by a group called Welle:Erdball, who use a Commodore 64 as their main instrument. On the CD is a music video of one of the songs on the CD and a bunch of C=64 programs. I think that the music video itself is enough extra material to make you want to buy the CD, but the programs make it simply phenomenal.
Why should something like this be restricted to clothing? Maybe it could be used for one of those pull-down window view screens like from Back to the Future Part II.
I'd totally trust to get my information about the health of the Microsoft .NET ecosystem from an Apple fanboy.
HTML *is* a framework. I mean, it originated well over 20 years ago, but it's still a framework.
Coward.
Well, well. Back to MySpace Music it is. Google+ wasn't really working out anyways.
Right. Verizon isn't artificially limiting network speeds. Just like Comcast wasn't.
Unfortunately, I believe that is the role of the user. I don't think that Facebook would try re-routing users to code.org.

There's also 'Agile Software Development with Scrum,' same author. There are people who consider it to be the Scrum bible.

I think you missed it... I meant running Linux on top of the emulator.
But does it emulate running Linux?
Well...

Who says we can't have grayscale porn?
