How is this a step forward? And who decides what innapropiate? and How do you even find the people committing the crimes in the first place? Does this conversation involve replying to comments left by minors? Honestly this law is as much of a trap as setting the a low speed limit and not posting the speed.

Every bit of this law smacks of more totalitarian molestation of justice. If you TRULY feel that this vague law is protecting anything but some politicians unwarranted self importance then you are sadly mistaken.

if the internet is so dangerous then children shouldn't be on it in the first place. or maybe THE PARENTS need to step up to the challenge and pusome fucking initiative in to monitoring their kids. Blanket laws like this arent used for anything but demonizing people suspected of crimes.

Just thinking about how this law will be abused makes me sick.

  3. Nice but there are more robust tools on Microsoft COFEE Leaked · · Score: 1

...i know this is a tool for n00bz, but it is seriously lacking in several areas. First of all it even says in its dox, that it is only supported by a suspects computer supporting windows XP, which is still pretty good and better then nothing. Secondly, if the suspects computer doesnt have autorun enabled you have to go to the USB drive and run the EXE on the suspects computer...meaning that if the computer is BIOS locked, encrypted on boot, or password protected, then the user must log in to execute the EXE. i downloaded it and ran it, but it is ineffective against my W7 machines (password protected, encrypted). understanding that if you dont give cops your password when they request it, they can charge you with obstruction of justice and then just move up to REAL computer forensics

I know its not perfect, and it isn't designed for the "1334", but it just seems useless if you are going up against someone who REALLY paranoid or very secure. it seems like if someone has their computer as open as it needs to be to run COFEE, you wouldn't need the tool in the first place, just someone remotely proficient in computers.

Are you high? The DMCA started with the best of intentions. Now it is used to stifle people criticism and control content. i can only assume you are some kind of troll, because you surely realize that as soon as you start blanketing one corner of the internet with "fraud protection", you move to "counterfeit assurance" and then "piracy control" until you finally get to "free speech countermeasures". if this is the internet you want, please, setup your own intranet and leave the rest of us out of it. i'll take the scammers any day over oppression.

anyone could have done this...i have been doing it for two years...with now special equipment... I would plug my moto Q into my laptop, share the connection with my laptops wifi, turn on Internet connection sharing and create a portable Ad-hoc network. It didnt work well with PSP's and DS's, but laptop's and other computers could connect with out any problems...I even used to take it to the next level and run it to the LAN and then straight to my router and create a full blown 3G in home network that anything could connect too. anyone with a little ingenuity could have done this years ago. I would have months on Sprint where my total traffic would exceed 30GB's a month.

  15. BACK TO BACK!!! on Columnist Fired For Reviewing Pirated Movie · · Score: 0, Interesting

Honestly, this movie as terrible. It was worse then X-Men 3. Unless this was the biggest cop out of all time the the theatrical release COMPLETELY different, then i feel bad for anyone that waste their money to see it. They couldn't even get the basic story elements they had set up in the X-Men movies right, let alone the actual Wolverine origin.

I know that to make films like this, they have to make concessions with the story, but why even bother calling it Wolverine, they could just call it "guy with claws movie". The best part of the movie comes when Wolvie spends time with a rural couple after his escape from Weapon X (which was less then 5 minutes of the film)and the opening montage. after that, its just BS. They even screw up and leave out all of the Weapon X brainwashing. Liev Schreiber was easily the best part of the movie, and was far better as Sabertooth then i could have hoped, I think the movie might have been better if it focused more on him. Ryan Renyolds was also great as Wade Wilson, even though in this version of the film he is in it for about 5 minutes (I refuse to acknowledge "Deadpool" at the end of the movie, that wasn't Deadpool, it was "Guy with Baraka's sword arms").

The only harm i see in reviewing this film so soon is that people will actually know how bad it is. Is it fair to REVIEW the movie based on the workprint? No it is not. But it is fair to base an opinion of it, given that all of the story elements are in place and most likely won't change prior to the final release, my personal opinion of it is that its pretty awful.

and, not that i care, Stan Lee doesnt show up in the workprint.
