    Why would you say "exactly"? It isn't even close to exactly. I think "really" would have been a much better choice. Also, drop the period in the subject. It's cleaner.

    Human drivers operating remotely is really a step in a different direction. It isn't moving past autonomous vehicles.

    You could replace the remote humans with remote computers and it would be a form of autonomous vehicle.

    In any case, given how often my cell phone drops signal while I'm driving I'm not sure I would want one of... oops...

    They already released a Kinect for XBox and Windows.

    The Windows Kinect has a near-mode that the XBox one lacks.

    I think the quality of episodes 1-3 is directly attributed to Lucas being surrounded by Yes-Men. Artistic people often hate the notes given by studios but in many cases they actually do make them better movies.

    Yep. That's my prediction. Certain death by starvation if you don't do your job or possible death if you are caught polluting. Meanwhile the boss keeps the money rolling in.

    You are right. They settled the 1997 lawsuit in 2001 and as part of that agreed not to distribution Java anymore. It wasn't a court order, but it was a legally binding agreement of some sort.

    When I worked at Microsoft there was talk about how they were legally prevented from shipping anything "Java". I'm actually surprised they are shipping BluRay in the XBox One since the BlueRay spec has Java in it.

    C-3PO had the same personality after his wipes. I think he was the same droid.

    I think somehow R2 remembered stuff through his memory wipes. But that's just my idea.

    I didn't argue that R2 wasn't older. My only claim is they are both in all the movies and would expect them in all future movies.

    3PO is in all the films.

    I think Lucas has stated that it was his intent that R2 and 3PO be in all 9 movies he originally "planned."

    Here is what will happen:

    Someone will get into an accident driving their own car. They will be sued for negligence because it was an accident that an autonomous vehicle would have prevented. As a result, insurance rates for human drivers goes through the roof. Everyone switches to autonomous vehicles within the year.

    You have lots of room to complain. If you take away the expectation to complain it give criminals an excuse to commit the crime.

    If you saw a Ferrari parked somewhere with a bunch of cash in the front seat, would YOU feel okay stealing it or the car? I would hope not. Stealing is wrong regardless of how easy it is. Why do you give others a pass for something you wouldn't do?

    You'll probably want to change your long term storage habits then.

    For short term, there is nothing stopping you from renting the same vehicle for a longer period of time or perhaps renting a smaller non-passenger vehicle that is just used for cargo.

    You could probably hire a non-passenger cargo vehicle for that and have it delivered to your house. Cargo auto-cars will likely be smaller, more energy efficient and cost less.
