Did anyone watch the director's commentary on Hannibal or The Gladiator and listen to Mr. Scott go on and on and on? Seriously, I thought he had the script and print of the movie and was fapping onto them. It was such blatent self masturbation that I have really been turned off of him as a director. What makes Ridley Scott *soooo* great? Imho, he ruined Hannibal (and the directory commentary made that abundently clear). Also - what is with all the versions of this movie? Can he not "get it right?" Maybe he is anal retentive, maybe hes loco!
You have a URL that gives a good history of all the famous cartoon characters. Aka who drew them, who directed them the most, what they have been in, who has done their voice... etc?
CN: Two entire racial stereotype scenes were removed altogether. One scene has an African native using a blowgun. It is revealed that he was merely aiming at a practice target. A second native comments, "Terrible shot, Joe. Terrible shot." The other scene shows African natives pounding their drums and making signals. One native asks another, "What did they say?" The other native says (imitating drum sound), "Boom di di boom di di boom boom boom boom..."
I dont get that Joe one but the drum one is halarious. Ugh - let the cartoons play as they were made! Jesus christ! I mean people bitch about the current state of movies and edit these classics? Anger ensues
My love for classical music was greatly influenced by loony toons. I know so many peices by heart that when I could play the trumpet, I could play some of them 'by ear'.
Wow Vary rarely do you see upper management's fatal flaws being put to such good use.
I know the loony toon's commedy timing like doctor's know the beat of a heart. It still is some of the most genuis comic timing I have ever seen. Even the total length of the cartoon was perfect. Never too long and only too short to make you want another!
AS I thought about the thousands of cartoons Ive seen in my life last night and was reading up on the life and history of CJ, I realized how many influenced by him and gave him influence. Now we hear stories about actors of the time working their butts off for relatively little and the studios owning them. Its good to see that the ones making the country laugh the most were in good company with CJ.
I spent 4-5 hours the other night talking about what makes a good cartoon and Chuck Jones was the name we brought up the most. Good slapstick fun that entertains the young ones. More advanced humor for those out of gradeschool, but yet still have the slapstick appealing. Then, working your cartoon with the music directors, etc.
Genuis, no doubt
If anything, his death should prompt cartoon network to run a lot of chuck jones - the silver lining my friends
When I buy from email, I do not purchase more then $200 because that is all ebay will give me from fraud (and they have a handling fee for that). If I find something that I really really want (or rarely need) that is over $200 - I tend to just pass on it. I just bought an mp3 player for $45. I am not really worried about it not working because I can afford to have $45 in limbo and if I get scammed, I can get it back - NP!
Last year when I had NO MONEY my fiance agree'd to loan me some money. She lived 300 miles away at the time. Well, I had my verified paypal account and she had her account as well. She gave me permission to transfer funds from her account to mine. I didnt use paypal for about 2 months after until I won an auction. I went to use paypal and found out my account had been restricted and the 2nd payment from her card to my bank account had been pulled (even though I had already transfered it to my bank) and showed that I owed PayPal $40 and my account was frozen! Her card was never refunded, I was never contacted by paypal nor could I contact paypal -- ever try to find their Phone #?
Anyways, whenever I win on ebay now - its bidpoint. That is how it should be done. No need for a seperate account or for them to have my bank info when I pay!
Dont get dumb and forget to go to college! Lots of these people you see out of work posting here forgot to do that. They either dont have experience or they dont have a degree. To have both and know your shit means you can get a job. Seriously, even a degree in French Poetry + your experience can keep you gainfully employed.
Ill prolly get hit with some stupid - mod for this but fyi
I just rebooted my xp box last week when ATI released new drivers and I wanted to squeeze some more Mhz out of my OC. Uptime? 4 weeks. My Fiance's XP box curently has a 2 month uptime and she does daily DivX encoding. He Parent's XP box has about the same uptime and that has apache running on it doing family picture serving. When new pics go up, it gets about 300 hits pretty quickly. Granted, nothing amazing but its work. Also, their son - my soon to be brother in law - uses that box as his gaming box.
I used win98 and 95 and still encounter it. Ive used 2k and XP. The whole reliabilty thing was gone with Win2k... at least for user and small serving
I have no experience in large serving apps so i dont speak of that
While we are dealing with baloons, we could simply set up barage baloons around all potential targets world wide so no planes could be flown into them. At the same time, use them for not only cell phone relays, but ADVERTISEMENTS THE LIKES THAT HAVE NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE! The adds could move like a ticker from baloon to baloon or could each act as its own billboard. Maybe even allow some X sport enthusiests to do base jumping from them if they can gym-class-climb up there?
Agreed! Wal-mart is by no means a monopoly. There are Targets, were KMarts, Sears, whole Malls, and then your specialty stores. If Wal-mart drives every single one of these out of business by just being more efficient and not cheating, a la sueing someone out of existance or taking a great loss on a product like US Steal used to or making deals with cities that say if there is a walmart there can be no target, etc. then there will still be room for others to do it bigger badder longer stronger.
Well, instead of going for the first post, like I should have, I decided to pull the pics and txt and a vid or two from the website. I submitted them to HardOCP.com since they are down with these cool ass mods as well. Its up to them to post it but if you go to check it out and its dead or gone, try HardOCP.com. No gaurantees as of yet.
If neither work - bookmark this page and come back in a week. It is well worth the check out. Its amazing.

Its almost like calling McDonalds a monopoly
How can the first post be redundent?
Intel killed the P3 @ 1.0 Ghz yet the tutaltin line has grown to 1.53 GHz
there is a lot more room left in that core then ppl will tell you
but AMD is also ancy to get that new architecture out

My current scale is very unscientific. Does it have the word Microsoft on it? Yes. Then something has to be wrong :P
(Not flamebait - just being honest)
I will say tho that WinXP has been pretty slick, but I do have the Corp ed.
