Re:Carl Icahn
Also, in what way has Paul Allen failed? Seems to me he's doing rather well for himself.
Overall, sure, but he has certainly had his share of losers. For example, "BusinessWeek magazine calculated he had lost $US12 billion in the previous five years.".

Re:What happened to Lik Sang
When the PS2 came out, Sony was bragging about how it can can push 66 million polygons per second (reference). When the Cube came out, the specs Nintendo released were a fraction of that (12 million polygons per second, reference). So gamers everywhere thought the PS2 would simply own the Cube hardware-wise. Problem was, Sony lied. They implied that games could push that amount polygons, when in reality, the PS2 could only display that many polygons if they were untextured, unshaded, and if the PS2 did nothing else but display them.
I have no idea why you are even trying to dispute this.
Furthermore, the closing of Lik-Sang had nothing to do with Mod chips, at least directly. Sony didn't sue over Mod chips. They sued because Lik-Sang was importing Sony hardware from Japan. From Lik-Sang themselves:
Lik-Sang.com, the popular gaming retailer from Hong Kong, has today announced that it is forced to close down due to multiple legal actions brought against it by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Limited and Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. Sony claimed that Lik-Sang infringed its trade marks, copyright and registered design rights by selling Sony PSP consoles from Asia to European customers
Do you have any clue or do you just reply because you like to insult others by implying that things only happened in their heads?

Re:As a resident of the Rest Of The World...
If you have broadband you can use AOL without their software (my question is: Why?).

Re:Risky..
"Compare the time between releases."
Let's clear some things up for you.The original Game Boy was released in the U.S. in 1991. All of the modifications to that unit [Game Boy Color, Pocket Game Boy, etc.] were not forced upgrades because they still played the same games. Your Game Boy purchased in 1991, played the same games.
Now, the GBA was released in 2001. Again, the SP is not a forced hardware upgrade because the GBA SP plays the same games as the GBA. The DS was released in late 2004. So, the time between releases is quite different than your completely anecdotal discussion. You and your various parties purchased Nintendo products at interesting times. It seems that you and your various parties are very good at buying a system a few months before something new comes out. This leads me to believe that either your perception is off on the whole matter OR you are not properly researching purchases before you make them. For instance, purchasing a GBA SP a few months before the DS is released seems a little pecuiliar. Why not wait for the DS which would play both DS games and GBA games? The DS had certainly been announced "a few months" [my, you've chosen an ambiguous way to catalog time] before the official release so there's really no room to complain about the situation.
Long story short - why don't you compare the time between releases?

Re:GBA Compatible?
There have been plenty of multi-processor consoles, the extreme case being Sega Saturn. The PS2 has a setup similar to the DS, using the PS1 cpu as a programmable IO controller.
As far as handhelds, it may be the first with two proper processors, but I haven't really looked into it.
Oh, now that I have a quick search...
