I think my site got hit by this and survived
I noticed some supicious form posts on my own site over the past several days, coming form Harvard.edu. I had dismissed it at the time as being some random student spammer, but it looks like I may have been on their attack list.
The event logs didn't show the entire string they attempted to post, so at the time I wasn't able to track it back to the source HTML and JS files used. From what I can tell now, they seem to be using a botnet. The above is a permalink to my blog post in response to the event. As a potential victim, I will be researching the event. As I learn more I will add an additional post with a permalink in that post's comments. -

Re:Insufficient price to benefit ratio
lol, no, it's got two LEDs in each of its fans. Geek that I am, I took two pictures exclusively for your benefit.

Insufficient price to benefit ratio
$150 for 300W? You gotta be kidding me. I spent less than that for a 650 and a 350 on my main machine; a kilowatt of power and the main PSU even glows. For $150 I expect silent, cool, >650W, and modular. I've blogged about this.

... so now we have to learn French...
Looks like p2p software is going to be written in French. Fortunately, there's a Windows Service and Linux Shell Ext that will automatically translate into English.

TV Tuners, VCRs, TiVos illegal?
So this would make it illegal to sell, posess, or use things like TV Tuner Cards, VCRs, TiVos? Cable boxes, etc? Highly bogus stuff.

Star Trek to use this is upcoming series: Gamma Q
According to Insider Reports[Preferred Link], Star Trek intends to use this in their upcoming series, regarding a character that's obviously a ripoff of LtCmdr Data.

Plans to bring P2P to Free E-mail
Looks like Yahoo! and Google are fighting again; this time to be the first to create a free filespace connected with E-mail space. the two would share the same space quotas on the server; There is a utility already available to map a drive letter to, or mount a Linux part to, this space, Here[Preferred Link]. Czech it out before the Slashdot Effect ripples across the server.

Wait a minute, that's almost a direct copy of this
Next Generation has obviously been reading this material[Popular Link]; seems oddly familiar to a recent article there. Just how slow are these guys?

Google is my Bitch
I always suspected. I've been running a project I call Google is My Bitch. It shows promising results, and the other major engines are keeping pace, but I've aimed the project toward the uber-secretive GoogleBot engine.

Starcraft
Remember the good ol' days of StarCraft[Slashdot Recommended Link]? I still play it regularly. Nothing 'travels well' as playing protoss and MindControlling a drone and an SCV.

Just can't pick a winner, can they?
It would seem that AOL Just Can't Pick a winner. Time-Warner, now Google? What's next, Bell? Oh, wait; too late

Bah, it's been around for ages...
Sounds like they've been looking at this system from the looks of it. After all, why not use the body to recharge the batteries?

A better choice
Why not just use this system? Seems like the logical choice to me. Why waste all these resources on predicting weather when you can just control it in the first place? Well, okay, not yet...

what a load of BS
I blogged about this. Seems we're comparing the goodness of a person to how much $$$ they're willing throw at the right people.
