Re:Old Games on Faster Computers can be tough
The speed it defaults to can be adjusted just by hitting Ctrl+F11 and Ctrl+F12 or by changing the settings files.

Don't forget ZZT
It is a great little adventure game I played when I was a kid that helped me learn programming concepts. You can design your own levels and program little objects to do whatever you say. It was kinda like programmable Rogue. You could use the ZZT programming language to make the little objects do all kinds of neat stuff, very fun to play too. See it here

Re:What about Texas? (Re:the south)
Yep. Not too hard, you have to run some sort of patch on it. I saw it a little while ago when I was trying to play the game but I got bored of it fast
:-( (Keep in mind I was like, eight when Jazz was a fun game ;-)) Umm, a quick google search yields this. Good luck :-) -

Re:I wonderNo, most of the older games run at blazingly fast speed in windows on modern computers (if they run at all that is)
If the game runs too fast, here's what to do:
Find the game's executable file (the file you run, usually
{somename}.exe) using Windows Explorer. Right click on the file, and
choose "Properties".
Click the "Program" tab. Click the "Advanced" button.
Check the "Comaptible Timer Emulation" box. Click "OK", then "Apply", then "OK" again. See if that fixes the games speed.
If that doesn't fix the problem:
A utility called "Moslo" can help solve this problem. Read the FAQ on Moslo here:

big name games...
Kohan? Reminds me of 'I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy'. Never heard of it. I must be a dinosaur already. Pacman, Invaders and Digger are big names. And they are all available for download

Re:my favorite version . . .
That's quite an impressive list. Some of these are also available for download here.
