Re:Death To All Jews
Hmm, students and professors of a university in my county have protested against the invitation of an Israeli minister for some event about security along other major world politicians (including Merckel). Simply because he is from Israel (because all Jews are evil and all Palestinians are good).
Just so you know, the reason that fundamentalists and therefore Republicans are all pro-Jewish is because they believe that Israel is where Armageddon will happen. What happens to them in their myth isn't pro Jewish at all.
Greasing the skids for Armageddon is what we call it http://nymag.com/news/imperial...
Here is what they want: https://www.endtime.com/blog/p...

Re:Metaphores.
well, W is transposed to the same numerical value as 6 in Hebrew. So when you type in your www guess what your doing..
Actually, V is 6 and there is no W in hebrew so 6 is used. Also the numbers are added together when they are places together similar to roman numerals so www would be 18 (6+6+6) and not 666.
This WWW=666 was a popular thing on the internet back in the mid 90s.
The number of the beast is only 666 in later christian scripture. According to 3rd century christian texts unearthed by Archeologists the number of the beast is actually 616 and methinks that constitutes prior art.
This is interesting, but here is an argument against, saying that there was another contemporary text found that had 666.
Much of the recent stir about 616 has arisen due to renewed studies of a group of very old manuscripts originally discovered in 1895 by archaeologists at the site of an ancient garbage dump in Oxyrhynchus in Egypt. Many of the Oxyrhynchus manuscripts consist of New Testament papyri, and are very old when compared to other manuscripts. One of them named P115 (also called P. Oxy. 4499), dates from around 300 AD and contains some or all of 12 chapters from the Book of Revelation, including Revelation 13:18. It records 616 as the number of the beast using Greek letters (see figure 1). Because of this manuscript’s age, some have jumped to the conclusion that this must be the original reading. However, this conclusion cannot be made. Other evidence must be considered. For example, three manuscripts from the Chester Beatty Papyri include portions of the New Testament. One of these named P47, dates from the 3rd century and contains chapters 9-17 of Revelation. In its reading of Revelation 13:18, it states that the number of the beast is 666, using Greek letters (see figure 2). So, two equally old papyri have both readings – 666 and 616.
I would argue that it is likely 666 because that falls in line with John's style of writing in the document. John uses explicit and implicit numbers to signify meaning in the text. 7 is the number of perfection- so 7 and lists of seven items are related. 3 implies a unified trinity; good or bad. 10 in both number and lists of ten items refer to human culture. 12 and lists of twelve refer to God's people. Six is one less than 7, implying an attempt at perfection but missing it. It would likely not make sense for John to use 616. A lot of people make hay about the numbers in Revelation, but it's more likely that it was a literary or poetic device John was using to convey symbolic meanings.
Oh, and just in case somebody wants to OT me: my family bought an Apple ][ when they first came out. We still have it. I wonder if it's worth anything

Charging for Online Subscription to New York Times
I don't think they should charge for an online subscription, because it will discourage people from reading the news. In times like these, people need to know the news so they can better prepare for the End Times. See: http://endtime.com/

Mark of the Beast?
i know it is not, but there is an Evangelical Christian magazine called Endtimes that believes it is...seriously. I am anti national ID, but only for privacy reasons, but these fuckers are crazy...
check out their site, http://www.endtime.com/
and their partner site http://www.nonationalid.com/
Can you believe our Prez swings with these guys? -
USA National ID Card: Real ID Act - H.R. 418Without this National ID, you won't...
- Drive your car
- Board a plane, train, or bus
- Enter any federal building
- Open a bank account
- Hold a job
Don't believe me? Have a look at the official congressional documentation on the Real ID Act - H.R. 418. Are you wondering how they got this past everyone? They attached it to the Emergency Supplmental Appropriations Act - H.R. 1268 bill, a bill for funding our troops in Iraq. It was passed into law as US Public Law 109-13. I mean who would want to have voting against support of our troops on their voting record, right?
Interested in more information? Want to join in the fight? Take the No National ID pledge. Regardless of your "religious" affiliations, this is certainly a worthwhile cause to contribute to, so they can continue to fight this law.
The National ID card will grant the ability for the Government to apply economic sanctions on an individual level. I hope you find this as disturbing as I do.

I don't think you're off base at all
The idea of an RFID chip as being end-timish is actually a very astute observation. Christian prophecy states that there will be a time when everyone will be required to have a number to buy or sell or to own property. Until the advent of the computer, databasing and the shrinking of the world theater, this hasn't been a real possibility.
Between the Real ID Act that will require all US Citizens to have a National ID by 2008 and RFID chip implants, I think it's more than plausible. I will not be participating in either for religious reasons...it will be interesting to see how that works out for me and the few 100k people who see it coming and have similar concerns (not too well, I'm guessing).
I won't be aggressively fighting the system or anything of the sort (I have a morgage, wife, kid, dog, house, car - not the compound dwelling type or anything), but there is a point in time where I have to give legs to my faith and opt out of something that I believe is not in my best interest based on my primary citizenship in a Kingdom that isn't necessarily governed by US laws.
Don't get me wrong, I think the US is generally not interested in doing all the wrong things, but I can't have allegiance in 2 places, so any use of RFID technology or world-government-esque numbering / trackng system that raises red flags for me religiously will have to be something I peacefully decline. Glad you said what you did.
Katherine Albrecht writes an interesting book series on RFID chips, "Spy Chips."

More religious stuff versus tracking technolCheck out this item, citing that:
Audi AG employees have gone from six cards to one, thanks to Legic's smart card system. It merges parking, access control, time and attendance, and cashless payment ability at vending machines or in the cafeteria. In addition, the card has room for future biometric applications.
This is in their Mark of the Beast Watch! World gone mad?!?!
Want to make $ 500.00? -
Religion versus technologyI just cannot stand people like this that fear RFID is a step toward "the mark of the beast". First, religious groups said that Social Security numbers were evil, and now it is RFID targetted.
Can anyone point to technology that religion embraced in its infancy? I really would be interested. -
What don't you like?
What don't you like? Are you saying Wolfowitz is not Jewish? Are you saying Jews don't want the U.S. government on their side, as they kill Palestinians? (Guess who paid for those Israeli Blackhawk helicopters that shoot at Palestinians on the ground: You, if you are an American taxpayer.)
If you are saying that Christian fundamentalists don't think that all Jews will be converted during the "end time", you are very out of touch with people who are less educated than you. If you think that most Jews will actually be converted, rather than killed, you don't know Jewish or fundamentalist Christian culture.
If you think that encouraging Jews to fight Arabs and Muslims is good for Jews, you don't know how violence works.
A lot of people who plan to vote for Bush are very poorly informed about what is actually happening.
