These are the major chicago based gangs. These claim to be offical nation sites, and it looks like the people that built them are members, or at least know the creeds and rules of the gangs. Most gang researchers and gang taskforce members will know the creeds of the gangs, so its not like any of that is secret. -
Re:Oil isn't the only source of energy.
Bush/Saudi Oil Families. There is a big connection there.
What the U.S. doesn't want or need is a civil war in Suadi Arabia.
And why not?
Saudia Arabia is still a conservative, Moslem nation. If the Saudi Family looses power we will have people who won't even pay the U.S. lip service. OPEC will decrease production and in fact have no reson to decrease barrel prices and then the U.S. will be over the barrel.
But is is documented. This connection between the Bush and Saudi Royal families. It's really too late for me to dig it all up but G.W.Bush is a snake oil salesman. -
Re:And who should replace it?
Can anyone look at the history of the UN and honestly say that they would be any better, rather than a lot worse? Does anyone want the organization that puts the Sudan and other bloody, human rights violating states on its human rights commission to be the ones to regulate who gets a domain name? I sure don't.
Right. I sure love to have country that bombed 27+ countries (sample URL - there are zillion of them), since the end of WW2, in charge of everything. Not to mention the "record" of interferring in everyone else's business/country/politics/etc.
And you get to complain about UN, with such silly arguments?
I'd take UN over USA any day (even if I would compare all the 'sins', UN is really far far far behind). But that's just me.
As a sidenote - you even don't understand what this story is about, if you're bright enough to talk about "controlling who gets a domain name". Additionaly, not all root servers are "controlled" by the US, but that's another story... -
Re:Yeah...
> The U.S. does not want to be the world's policeman.
Oh, absolutely. The US is absolutely 100% not keen on spending any money or risking their troops' lives for any reason, except when something happens which may threaten America's influence in any part of the world, thereby possibly having economical repercussion for them.
FYI the US has bombed 26 countries since 1945. The US is the most warlike country in existence today by any measure you can care to mention.

Re:Unbelievable...Easy. Do you want nuclear, biological, chemical, or just rockets? US corporations sold each kind to Iraq.

Report: U.S. supplied the kinds of germs Iraq later used for biological weapons

Avril's not the most colorful crayon in the boxActually, as far as I am aware, Avril writes her own songs. At least the lyrics, you may be talking about the "music" part - but I don't think her stuff is so much about the music as the lyrics.
She's not, like, very smart.
I would say that based on the interview above, she would have a hard time writing anything more complex than a small grocery list. At very least she's not a friend of the big words.
I confess that I have only heard one of her songs, in passing, on Saturday Night live, so I can't speak to the body of work spanning her entire career. The one song I heard, however, was less than remarkable. I didn't even know who she was until everyone was going on about that virus named after her. And I'm out of her demographic; I'm almost exactly twice her age. Perhaps I'm just not as receptive to the message of teen angst as I once was.
My hunch says she has very good handlers who are actively trying to use her to separate disaffected teens from their parents' money.

Re:Javascript in links and Flash animation
I know, where you visit a site and like on Yahoo! mail, you point to check mail and it says javascript:checkmail() arghhhhhhhhh!! it's annoying, cuz sometimes i wanna open in a new window, *with* a scrollbar, toolbar, address bar, and resizing!
This sounds sorta like when my cousin used Expage (it's crap--it changes all occurences of SRC to --- so you can't use other ppl's images, but a bit of javascript [irony] fixed that) to make a page, and he put a form to "sign up" with a username and password... i asked him where they will go, he said "i dunno, i'll figure it out later".

Year without a summer
Abrubt climate changes aren't new. In 1816, there was no summer. Volcanic side effects from the year before blotted out enough light to cause a winterry year.

Re:Well, I read it, and I can't see any patterns..
The Illuminati don't CARE if people hear the truth, because they won't believe it. That's all part of those merry funsters' game. Like George Bush proclaiming a "New World Order". Like the eye-in-a-pyramid on the US $1 note. Like the occult layout of Washington DC. They act blatantly knowing that people don't want to hear the truth. That's why they're going to get what they want. They already have enough power to be unstoppable. They play both sides in every conflict. They want to enslave us all.

Re:this REALLY concerns me....Drugs must be stopped at all costs.
All costs? You mean, REALLY all, as in by whatever means necessary? Are you willing to have your country (I'm assuming you're from the US) turned into a Christian equivalent of Taliban-controlled Afghanistan? Coz that's what you'll eventually get, Mr. At All Costs.

Pokemon weirdness isn't exactly subliminal...
Case in point. The one one the right is James, a male character. More info here. And here.
This was from episode #18 of the original Japanese series. Oddly enough, this episode never appears in the English dub broadcast in the USA... -

I'm going to be joining the local Amateur radio club soon, and I'm only 21. You're right, it is mostly older guys. But I think packet radio (GPRS) has potential to be explored by a younger, Internet-savvy generation - especially packet radio connected to the Internet.
I think the interest pendulum is starting to swing back to peer-to-peer access, with regard to how we do communications. Witness the development of NexTel's "walkie-talkie" feature, and the new Cybiko "organizer" for the teenie-bopper/geek set. Hell, I'd get one of those things if I had a spare $129 or whatever it is :-) -
