Re:No. They don't.I just zapped a $20 bill for 20 seconds and it's barely even warm
This is probably because if there is anything under his eye, it's smaller than the microwave wavelengths. Our favorite TV Chef pointed this out in his popcorn episode when he informs us that staples are too small to get enough of the microwaves to heat up and burn the paper bag they're stapled into.

Re:Well, I respect other views, but..."French" toast was invented by a Mr. French of Albany NY.
I seriously doubt that an american invented roasting a piece of bread over fire. That's plain toast. French toast is dipped in egg and fried and was first called French's Toast.

I'm making a DVD collection of every episode of Good Eats because it's not possible to buy DVDs of every episode.

This recipe is legit.
It sounds very similar to Alton Brown's Pan Seared Rib Eye recipe. Regardless, the steaks are delicious, and using pepper (as Alton's recipe calls for) doesn't seem to cause any problems. I really need to get myself a cast iron skillet.

Is it just me

Iron Chef selections
I'm kind of surprised they didn't get Bobby Flay to be one of the Iron Chefs. He had 2 appearances on the original Japanese show against Iron Chef Japanese Masaharu Morimoto (one)(two), one of which was a bit controversial as Bobby was almost electrocuted during the battle and then at the end Masaharu claimed that Flay was not a true chef since a true chef wouldn't stand on his cutting board.
I wonder if Shatner will dress like Liberace to keep with the spirit of Chairman Kaga?
