Ok, someome please tell me I'm not the only one who heard Lawrence's voice from Office Space, yelling "Hey Peter! Check out Channel 9! Breast exam!"

Movies are NOT generally released on Thursdays. I don't know what country you live in, but in the U.S. they are released 89% of the time on Friday, and the other 9% on Wednesday (and those cases are usually blockbusters-to-be)... That is a made up statistic, but it has to be close. I think you might be confusing a 12:01 showing on Thursday (which is actually Friday) with an actual Thursday opening. Go to IMDb.com and see the Friday release dates. In a quick search around I couldn't find a Wed or Thur opening (even the new Harry Potter opens on a Friday in June). The LOTR movies were all Friday releases; Matrix Reloaded was Thur, while Revolutions was Wed; all three Harry Potter movies were/are Fri releases. Eps 1-3 are the only movies I can think of besides Reloaded that were Thur openings. "Premiers" don't count, either, since those are only in one theatre and just a celebrity press event. The movies are generally shown to critics earlier, too, so that doesn't count.

Nahhh. Mitchell was worse. I have that episode of MST3K by the way. I wondered why they had all that redundant narration during the movie. Now I know.

That name is dangerously similar to The Creeping Terror. This is probably the worst movie ever, and it wasn't helped by the soundtrack being destroyed and replaced with a narrator.

I splurged and got the DVD-ROM version of Riven (I had just purchased a new PC and needed something to flaunt its abilities). Maybe that was part of my problem with Exile: CD-switching. Also, while I liked Brad Dourif's villian in Exile, I couldn't help spending the whole game thinking of his character on Voyager. That took me out of the game (my own fault, admittedly).

Warning: I know absolutely nothing about this game. However, I do know that when the top creative person in charge of a media project leaves shortly before said project is completed, things are looking mighty grim.

Was he fired/demoted because his work sucked too much ass, or did he quit in disgust because management crushed the project's soul? Either way, not a good thing.

Stalker was a 1979 Film by Russian Director Andrei Tarkovsky. It is loosely based on a novella called Roadside Picnic by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky.

Incredible stuff and I highly recommend it. It is the first thing I thought of when I saw Elena's first set of pictures. If you get a chance to see it, do so--but be warned, it is very long and very slow. If you are a fan of film worth checking out. If you only go see films with pyrotechnics, take a pass.

Gotta help them, especially since I saw the movies and almost knocked myself out, laughing my ass off during the swimming pool scene.

Seriously, though. I am not a virologist or anything, but I'd think if there were some bacteria or viruses down there, they haven't mutated at all since they were entombed. Why? No environmental pressures of any kind.

No sun (radiation) antibiotics (other than toxins their rivals might produce) and very little environmental change in terms of climate (oxygen, nitrogen, etc). It's just cold, dark wet and very saline. They're probably quite well adapted to that environment.

I'd be scared of what mutations would happen after they got out. Heck, look at the antibiotic resistant strains of any bacteria you like. How long have we had antibiotics? Like 60 years. And the bugs are adapting. How long does it roaches and things like that to adapt to the crap we spray on them? I personally don't know (and aam too lazy to check right now), but it's a lot faster than 2,500 years.

Nothing at all may happen, but then again, we've got starlings and nutria in the U.S. and cane toads in Australia to think about. Things from environment, having no check or balance on them in another, run rampant. They should drill with care.

Because all the car thieves that I know are such avid users of the whois database for looking up domain information. Why I remember that part in Gone in Sixty Seconds where Nicolas Cage used the Network Solutions whois page to lookup the address for the Shelby Mustang he needs to steal. If only the owner had been allowed to falsify his whois contact information his car would have been safe.

Ever hear of a P.O. Box? They'll protect you just as well without lying or risking the loss of your domain name (or other property).

Also, there is something to be said for chemistry. The current cast sure seem to work very well together. I would hate to break that up.

In the end, I think the actors will get some sort of raise since everyone else involved is making more money than god on the show. They can afford to give the actors a bigger share of the pie.
