    From Wikipedia article on Grand Theft Auto 5:
    "The game includes a multiplayer mode, Grand Theft Auto Online, which allows up to 16 players to freely roam a recreation of the single-player setting. Players can cooperatively engage in various activities, such as races and bank heists. "

    They should of just used the Multi Theft Auto source code. Playing against or with 16 people is nothing compared to playing with/against 500+.

    The current 'Race' mode is car only, and a huge amount of fun.. very flexible system. Soon enough I hope we'll see the deathmatch mode with improved synchronization and code for on-foot action. GTA multiplayer is alot of fun, it's such simple and excellent enjoyment.

    Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to practice my railslides on my harley.

    Before this is released, have fun with the best multiplayer mod out there for both GTA 3 and GTA : Vice City : Multi Theft Auto.

    I didn't say it was bad, but the other titles are really piss poor.

    As for XBL, I doubt it, since SOE lacked it. If you want it, you could always buy the PC version and use Multi-Theft Auto.

    Although that does bring up an interesting question. Assuming the XBox version is a fairly straight port of the PC version, could they hack the game to add network support?

    naturally, vice city is a single player game. but, even though the game is closed source, there is an effort (which actually works to a decent extent) to make it multiplayer

    I'm no English usage nazi, and I know English isn't a first language to some people, but the "u" and "ur" usage, and general typos doesn't inspire the greatest confidence in the authors of this mod, and seems pretty immature to boot (unless you're using SMS/text messaging where it's actually hard to "type" fast, so shortening your message is acceptable).
