Re:Wow
The internet never forgets. You are screwed if you ever want to run for office. And you will be doing the screwing *ducks*
And now for something completely different, a Congressional candidate in his pyjamas. Of course, there are ducks.
In the interests of bipartisanship, here's the other party's candidate for another district. (And the pics. Yes, the candidate's the hot chick.
:)If either of these candidates - or their equivalents in future election cycles - can win, we'll have finally gone from the age of boomer-bogus-puritanism to a post-privacy era in which all the stupid stuff you did on the 'net doesn't matter.

Re:Easy enough to balance the budget
Obviously, your not a Conservative as you don't know what the hell your talking about.
You're a moran.
Brutalizing a man is no way to "teach him to fish", to use your trite [and tripe?] metaphor.

Re:This should have been done at least 10 years ag
Nonsense. Anyone is capable of writing their own software, just as anyone is capable of keeping and maintaining their own garden.
This is nonsense. Most people can't program even using something like Borland's Delphi or MS Visual Basic whereas there are very few who have brown thumbs or black thumbs.
My mother has zero interest in programming her own apps, just as I have zero interest in growing my own food.
I do both. I started college with a major in Computer Engineering and have been growing gardens since before I was a teen. I also have other interests. In high school I was torn between majoring in CE and Marine Bio or another marine science. I picked CE, though if I had known then what I know now I would have done a double major.
She would probably write very poor code at first, and I would probably keep a terrible garden; both of us could improve with time.
And how many have the tyme to devote to learning programming while they're already working full tyme? Sure people can improve but that doesn't mean they will be able to program a compleat and useful app. Gardening is easier.

Re:Can they not use...
Sure they can TinyURL
No, because the long URL is still out there. For example: http://tinyurl.com/c9fjov translates into http://www.nerve.com/CS/blogs/scanner/2008/11/16-22/pervert.jpg.

Re:yeah, but...
Bah. You are the one saying that something that humans currently do is wrong and should be stopped, you should provide some evidance that porn is bad. You apparantly want me to prove that *no* porn is created by non-consenting people under duress before you accept that porn is ok, you are asking me to prove a negitive. The best I can do is point out some porn that is clearly consentual:
Good Vibrations
Nerve
That Strange Girl
All three of these are examples of porn produced by people who are consenting to the production, and they also promote a realistic body image.
Can you come up with an example of porn that is non-consentual in nature and not so as a result of under-regulation of the industry or over-regulation of consumers? -
Re:What about... sex?>Do some more research and you'll see! Plus, it's fun!
I haven't tried that line before. "It's not for me, you understand. This is for Science!" Hmm, it just might work.
You should read I did it for Science

Re:pr0n!=bad for kidsI am so tired of hearing this "America is a bunch of prudes" crap from Europeans and Ozzies. You are confusing what you hear in the media and some of the crap our government does with the American people. Judging all Americans as fitting a certain stereotype because the FCC bans the work fuck on TV or because some soccer mom in Iowa got upset over Britney Spears' belly button shows ignorance and closed mindedness.
As for the issue at hand, I hafta agree Cingular can do what they want. But, I won't buy their service. First of all, if they're filtering "porn", what else are they filtering either by design or accident. If I want to access the web, I want to be able to depend on getting to whatever sites I need to see -- so that's what I'm going to pay for - web access, not some subset of the web Cingular wants me to be able to access. Secondly, I like "porn" -- mature content on the topic of sexuality covers a wide range of topics, and frankly I like some of it. If I don't get my fix of Nerve's This Week in Sex, I'm lost.

Re:CompUSA
Yep. McDonald's AND the porno theater looking for a jizz-mopper turned 'em down.
Actually, the porno theatre didn't have an opening for a jizz-mopper

A few links regarding the parent of this post
http://www.nerve.com/Opinions/JenkinsP/strangerTha nFiction/, http://crime.about.com/library/weekly/aa070501a.ht m, NYPost No reg required (I think)
no I am not a karma whore just wished that the poster would have used google for a second to include a link. So I did -
why not merge the two?
If Feed and Suck merged they could become SeedFuck which sounds like it could be really successful online, maybe as a competitor to Nerve .
-
hypocracy anyone?
I love this. Salon uses sex to sell eyeballs and "Premium" subscriptions as much as E3 does to hype games (check out their "Sex" section and their partnership with Nerve). Objectification of women is pretty bad, but the holier-than-thou tone is a bit much. It's like Playboy criticizing Penthouse for showing pictures of nekkid girls.
-
hypocrite!
yeah, right, Wagner, we should keep sex out of things. so, i guess writing stuff like this is completely out of the question.

Finally, the dubdubdub gets a touch of class......black and white "art" photography sites get a huge boost.
Say, has Nerve had its IPO yet?
