I like the Salli chair

Mouse Trapper
My personal favourite, the MouseTrapper. Completely mechanic, can use whatever old mouse you have lying around, and the motion you use are completely different from a regular mouse. It also doesn't break. I personally cannot use any mouse, not even those 'ergonomic' ones, as I will feel it in my wrists in a couple of days. I usually use a laptop with touchpad, but when I sit behind a desktop machine, this thingy really helps.

Re:which model of the KINESIS?
If you really want to buy one check out https://secure.officeorganix.com/knis1pr.htm. I have purchased a number of keyboards from them over the years for myself and others at work. It will save you a few bucks.

Ergonomic Furniture
One of the few places I've seen that carries a wide range of ergonomic furniture, including sit-to-stand desks, is OfficeOrganix. I have my eye on them for outfitting my office at work.
In addition to more or less traditional desks and chairs, they have some crazy stuff, such as the Stance chair, which adjusts from a kneeler chair to a regular chair to a lean-back-while-standing chair; and a couple of reclining desks or desk/chair combinations.
Even if you want to build your own, their site may be worth looking at for ideas. Their prices also approach reasonable, which is a rarity in the ergonomic furniture arena (where, I suppose, the assumption is that insurance or lawsuit money is paying for everything).

Ergonomics -- Sometimes Only Dummies Listen!
There is no need to spend $1000 dollars on a chair to provide superior lower-back support.
Buy a kneeling chair from Office Organix or your local Staples, Office Depot, or Office Max.
Wake up, smell the coffee, and see the choices!

Aeron dissenting opinionI seem to be in the minority, but I have to say I basically hate the Aeron chair. I'm sitting in one right now. I liked it for a couple of days after I bought it, but I'm actively shopping for another one now. I'm considering the Humanscale Freedom.
My main complaint with the Aeron is the mesh material - I find it uncomfortable and abrasive. I've taken to sitting on a pad to mitigate that. (It's not that I'm heavy, either: 6'3" and 165 pounds.)
I like having a lumbar support, but the Aeron's digs into my back no matter how I set it up. I also find the adjustments aren't that good: it doesn't allow you to lock the back in a fixed position, only to limit how far back it tilts. The armrest height adjustments are way too inconvenient to adjust the arms as often as I like to, depending on what I'm doing. Finally, it's low-backed and has no headrest, which of course I knew when I bought it, but I'm regretting it now.
I had an Obus Forme chair for about six years, and I would unquestionably rate it as a better chair than the Aeron in every respect. However, I still didn't consider it the perfect chair. If the Humanscale Freedom doesn't do it for me, I think I'm going to have to look to other planets for a solution - perhaps Cassini will discover a chair-making race on Titan...

Re:Quikwriting sounds like a better approachWhat it looks like is someone trying to implement the "Hellraiser" box in digital form.
:)I've always thought that the BAT Keyboards were clever -- "a fully functioning keyboard for one hand." Not too practical for a Palm, of course, but perhaps for a tablet computer? I've always imagined that when you see folks on "Star Trek: TNG" typing away with one hand on a computer gadget they're holding, they're using a BAT layout.
