What about the real conspiracies?
Your argument seems to dismiss all the real, verified conspiracies. That is the primary purpose of disinformation. Here's one example:
The 'official' 911 story is unequivocally at least part fabrication. This has been established beyond reasonable doubt. However, 'what really happened' is very hard to discern. The 'disinformation specialists' released lots of kooky theories through many different channels: 'no plane hit the Pentagon', 'robot space aliens kidnapped and replaced the crashed planes', et cetera. Some real investigators assembled the 'best evidence' to attempt to determine what probably actually occurred. When the topic came up in the media, the 'best evidence' people had to sit next to the 'no plane hit the pentagon' disinformation believers. Then, by dismissing the anti-scientific 'whacko' theories, the 'best evidence' people were also dismissed by association. It's a very clever and successful COINTELPRO approach, and it is visibly successful on the Slashdot crowd. Here is one description of how the disinformation process works.

Re:That's odd
You drank the cool-aid! By this I mean you were fooled by the (very clever) disinformation campaign surrounding 9/11. Don't feel bad, most people were fooled. You conflated the obviously false disinformation with the probably true information, thus yielding confusion and denial. You saw the obviously false conspiracy theories about 9/11, of which the most popular (and best funded!!!) were the 'no plane' demolition theories, and the presence of these obviously false theories caused automatic rejection of anyone questioning the 'official story'. This is an example of how a Disinformation Campaign exploits human psychology.
In fact, the official story surrounding 9/11 does not stand up to serious investigation. Parts of the 'official story' are lies, clearly. Which parts are lies is hard to determine, but the official story clearly contains lots of lies, which tells us that someone in power was trying to hide something. In a (very effective!) attempt to prevent real investigation, party or parties unknown put out several sorts of disinformation, while also destroying all physical evidence. The disinformation is mostly in the form of outrageous, obviously false conspiracy theories, usually with a grain of truth in each. The obvious falsehood of the fake theory causes ASSOCIATED ideas to ALSO be discredited, which has the effect of making it impossible to investigate the 'grains of truth'. This has the effect of COVERING UP THE TRUTH.
Personally, I came to the conclusion long ago that, while 9/11 almost certainly had some elements of an inside job, THEY GOT AWAY WITH IT. So, please don't waste our time investigating 9/11. Also, though, don't be foolish enough to buy the official story. US Government officials almost certainly knew about the attacks in advance, and almost certainly allowed them to proceed. I'm looking at you, Dick Cheney. But, here's the thing: THEY GOT AWAY WITH IT!! The evidence was destroyed or covered up, the public disinformation campaign was brilliant, and people want to think well of their leaders. Finally, in this country, one is still presumed innocent until proven guilty. Well, if one is rich. One other item: within the Intelligence Community in the USA and Europe, which this author is quite familiar with, hardly anyone believes the official story, the majority off-the-record opinion is that 9/11 was an inside job, no one will discuss it on the record, and the belief is that they got away with it.
Here's an exercise in futility: review the data and evidence surrounding 9/11 in an open and honest way. You will probably reach the conclusion that there was some sort of inside job, but what it was and how it worked is totally unclear. There's very strong circumstantial evidence of collusion by top US Government officials, but there is no proof, no smoking gun. I personally spent some months sifting through the evidence, trying to sort the DISINFORMATION from the MISINFORMATION from the TRUTH. I failed. While I think I have a pretty good idea what actually happened, there's no proof, and thus little point in continuing the exercise. My findings closely match those of the Best Evidence perspective of Mark Robinowitz. He made a good attempt to sort it all out, and especially to discredit the obviously false disinformation.

Re:It's amazing how we see ourselves in the world.
It's not only cell phones. It's the 'bad' habits as well. Things like not respecting parents or elders, the 'me, me, me' attitude the teen pregnancies, the spending beyond our means for both government and a good chunk of the population.
One of the only fond memories of have of my High School Latin class was translating a missive from the Roman senate to the people bemoaning how young people are not as respectful to their elders as they used to be, and that their society was becoming morally bankrupt.
Every generation looks at their children as being somehow increasingly disrespectful and making poor moral decisions. That perception is weirdly constant.
Also, you have completely misrepresented this link:
It's no wonder that 85% of US soldiers in Iraq believe that they are there to get revenge for 9/11.
The actual claim made was that a poll in 2006 indicated that 85% of soldiers believed they were sent over there to retaliate, not that they are currently in 2011 deployed there in retaliation.
And finally, Zogby International is one of the worst international polling organizations in the world (leading questions, selection biases in their polled populations, etc). And the oilempire site you linked looks like the online Wal-Mart of conspiracy theories. Is JFK somehow responsible for peak oil by orchestrating 9/11? I don't know, but that website makes me suspect that somebody thinks so.

It's amazing how we see ourselves in the world...
Facts like these amaze me. This is mainly because even with their revelation, Americans will continue to see themselves as people having a nation where everyone would want to be.
It's no wonder that 85% of US soldiers in Iraq believe that they are there to get revenge for 9/11.
American college students are hooked on cellphones, social media and the Internet and showing symptoms similar to drug and alcohol addictions, according to a new study. This probably falls under the no-big-surprise category.
It's not only cell phones. It's the 'bad' habits as well. Things like not respecting parents or elders, the 'me, me, me' attitude the teen pregnancies, the spending beyond our means for both government and a good chunk of the population.

Re:This Just In
Ties to terrorists? You mean like the Bush family ties to the Bin Laden family?
The Bin Laden family has disowned Osama Bin Laden. They have even assisted the US intelligence in finding him. And if Obama had ties with the Ayers family, and the Ayers family had denounced what William Ayers had done, it wouldn't be a big deal.
Besides, Bush is not running for reelection.

Re:Actually Apple is popular in France
Where is that picture on which Donald Rumsfeld shakes hands with Sadam Housein? Oh, here it is!
By the way, that picture, taken out of its original context is just as much a troll as what you posted.
My point still stands. You know what the first victim is in every war. -
Re:Great, now commercialize it..Suppose there is a coup d'etat by the US military, would you want there to be a video record that you are a dissident? The US has been spoiled, but democracies often fall into dictatorships. Spain, Germany, and Italy come to mind as prominent examples. It has even almost happened to the US in the early 30's and early 50's.
Read up on what the FBI did during the pre-nixon era. Read about the time the FBI attempted to have Martin Luther King kill himself( http://www.oilempire.us/graphics/mlksuicideletter. gif sorry for the partisan host site, Wikipedia linked to it.)Read about mk-ultra, about how easy it was for Nazi germany to round people up.
After this, tell me if you don't see the importance of maintaining our privacy from the government. -

This will most like be impacted by the defectivebydesign DRM/Trusted Computing campaign[0].
Microsoft does nothing without ulterior motives[1] to market dominance; at nearly any cost.
They are pros at it, and have been doing it a long time. The trouble is most of Microsoft's
"brilliant ideas" do not work, are security holes, require constant patching and never quite
get to version 1.0 without a lot of duct tape. It just ends up a big headache for everyone
and ACPI has turned into just that. I think this is what the OP meant to summarize with the
word "shit".

Rumored Replenishment of Oil FleldsThere have been suggestions that oil reserves are abiotic/non-organic in origin, as well as self replenishing. Some replenishment seems to be going on, but the source of this is fiercely debated.
Of course, murphy's law says that if so, they will replenish at a rate at a rate matching our correct consumption divided by 2. Meaning we will still be up the creek without a paddle.

Re:conspiracy theory
Um, I have a hard time believing that you actually want me to link to a bunch of conspiracy theorism sites. But for your amusement, here you go.

If you are actually asking for hard evidence, your comment is more of a troll than mine was. If hard evidence existed, Bush would be in prison right now. -

Re:Booyah!
That's not necessarily true.
If you'll take a look at fine sites like this one, this one or possibly this one, you will see that there is little doubt that should Bush get re-elected, we will have, at least, a limited draft instated by early 2005. If you don't follow the other links, I suggest this one. especially if you have a 17-18 year old son OR daughter.
As to the obvious reason that this is going to happen, well you might start looking here; even though the military is basically not letting ANYONE out these days, time up or not, they aren't in my opinion going to be able to meet the numbers due to missed targets.
My word of advice (and I volunteered, was in Gulf War lite, so screw anyone who says I'm not a patriot) is that if you have a boy or girl who are in high school, and they do NOT fully support the policies of the current administration, have them drop out if Bush gets reelected; the current system doesn't take people without high school diplomas, and it'll take them awhile to change the rules.

Re:Moon having "military value"
Both Cheney and Rumsfeld have been called before the World Court for War Crimes committed during Gulf War One, and the US has refused to enforce International Law regarding the conduct of War in not handing them over for trial.
Its not surprising that you know nothing about the War Crime charges currently standing in International Court against US' government executives. The US currently doesn't recognize the very Treaties it has signed to create such a Court in the first place ... thus ...
