Re:Established fixture?
http://www.ps3seeker.com/wii
check that site for the rumors, they're fairly accurate and predicted last sunday's massive release. i was at a local target and they had over 50 units and there were only 16 people in line (they gave us tickets so we could wait in our cars in the below freezing weather). by the time i left, they had only given out through 28. there's now a shortage of controllers. -
Re:I know where they can get some
I know you were joking, but here is a useful site http://www.ps3seeker.com/ for the PS3 and http://www.ps3seeker.com/wii for the Wii.

Re:Wii on Ebay
I was actually scared with how easy it was to find one, kept thinking something had to go wrong, comet slamming into my car on the way back home maybe. After a mere day and a half of calling around, I found a Super Target that had some in stock, when I got there, there were at least 4 or 5 still in the case, no lines, rushing or anything. If you haven't already, you may want to try calling your local Target(s) if there are any around, they've apparently been getting random shipments in the last few days. If not, Wii Seeker has every Best Buy in my area pegged to be having at least 10+ per store on the 31st, dunno about elsewhere, heard some people say it was the same for them.

I got mine. tricks from the battlelines
snicker - Here is a tip for all wii and ps3 hunters.
First signup and create accounts at all the online stores in advance of actually finding one.
Second automate the task of locating it online with something like http://www.ps3seeker.com/ or http://www.zootalor.com/.
Third, and most important, most of the online stores are forcing overpriced bundles on buyers. For example Walmart has a ps3 bundle which I picked up yesterday for 1500 out the door. Here is the trick to bundles. After you have made the purchase and the console has shipped, you can contact the online store and CANCEL the remaining items and not be charged for it. You can also return any games/controllers/etc you do not want to the brick and morter for a full CC reimbursement. This is what I have done for all the consoles I have flipped to friends/ebay.

Re:Wii Campers?
Check it out. I'm in Atlanta, and the supply here, according to that database is going to be totally bananas. The one Toys R Us on North Point Pkwy. in Roswell, GA is going to have 80 to sell for its launch event, and then 80 more on Monday, according to the two helpful employees that I talked to. And there's a Walmart, a Best Buy, a Target, and two EB Games' within 3 miles of that store, each with 25-60 of their own. And then, there's a Walmart, two Targets, a Best Buy, and two more EB Games stores within 3 miles of my house. This, honestly, isn't going to be difficult, and I fully expect to buy one at midnight, Sunday morning.
