Re:Profit!
The prophet killed 1200 jews in one of his religious massacres (e.g. google for "khaybar").
Perhaps you are not a native speaker of English. The word "massacre" is generally reserved for cases where one side has no ability to resist the other; the word for what occured at Khaibar, where a 1,400 to 1,800-men army of Muslims attacked a fortress occupied by about 10,000, would be "battle" or "siege". HTH.
That the early Muslims fought a lot of people, no one disputes. We may argue about the justification or brutality of these battles. But to call these battles "religious massacres" is simply inaccurate.
Saying that religiously massacring jews is wrong is saying islam is evil.
So saying that religiously massacring Midianites is wrong is saying Judiasm is evil? And saying that religiously massacring Muslims is wrong means that Hinduism is evil? And saying that religiously massacring Protestants is wrong means that Catholicism is evil? And..well, choose your match-up.

Re:So isolated, but so populatedIt is amazing that someone would be around to witness this. With the population explosion we've seen in the last 20 years, it makes you wonder how crowded our solar system is going to be in 200 years.
But... (a bit off-topic)
maggard wrote: It really does bring home that there are now more folks alive today then have died in the history of our species This is actually an urban legend. Demographers put the estimate at roughly 80 billion dead throughout history. Modest estimates put the total number of people alive today at approximately 6% of the total of all people who have ever lived.

Re:The source
I've found some decent journalism in the CSM, and I'm an atheist. I just skip the religion related articles. I believe their journalists are fairly well regarded by the rest of the press. Wikipedia has a write up on them, and here's what users say on Rate-It-All have to say. Like all media outlets, there are people who accuse them of being biased -- but it's tough to find anyone who isn't.

Think Different
Sometimes the best thing is to give up and move to a new job. It can really work, if you've got what it takes. The very talented newswoman Rudi Bakhtiar recently switched from CNN to Fox News Channel. I have always depised Fox, but I guess now I have no choice but to watch it!

Wendy's chicken fingers
This is about as likely as Jack-In-The-Box deciding to offer extra rare patties; or Wendy's to start selling 'Chicken Fingers'
Wendy's already does sell chicken fingers. Wendy's Homestyle Chicken Strips

Re:EpinionsYou can even rate slashdot on it!

Re:Epinions
Epinions is great and all, but it doesn't cover everything. What if I want to know which brand of salsa is the best? Or if Budweiser sucks as much as I hear it does? Or if Crest is better than Colgate?
Rateitall.com does that stuff, to an extent, but their site isn't as polished as it could be.
I want a site that categorizes every product under the sun by UPC and lets people comment on and rate them. -
Re:Screw "movies"...
So what you're saying is that Google should spider RateItAll instead of Epinions, then?

SELinux?Privilege execution under a privileged level within a operating system context? Bah!
One can name over a dozen OSes that garnered the famed Class B1 Trusted OSes status that provided this feature set since 1983. Most of them will never see the light of days due to their classified status.
Perhaps, the U.S. Patent Office should consider investigating for possible industrial payola to their underpaid $60,000/yr GS-5 ranking corporate-rejecting $125K real bad diploma-milled reviewers.

Re:It's been said before
Here is a good list of Mario Games.
Mario Golf
Mario Golf 64
Mario Party
Mario Party 2
Mario Party 3
Mario Party 4
Mario Party 5
Super Mario Kart
Mario Kart 64
Mario Kart Double Dash
(Diddy Kong Racing could be thrown in here too)
A lot of their other games fall into the same trap- just re-making the same game for each generation of console.
I'm not going to say that it is junk. I owned the first 3 Nintendo consoles and I played the crap out of them (okay..not so much the 64, it was the beginning of the end for me). But after a while, you get sick of the same things, over and over. I used to love the Donkey Kong character- then I got a little burnt out on it.
