Re:I liked this game better when it was called...Except that with BuddyZoo, you had to upload your buddy list to the site, so it could only calculate based on the data that users voluntarily uploaded. This site, on the other hand, was done by AOL and therefore has access to ALL buddy lists!
An interesting note on BuddyZoo and degrees of separation -- it was created by one of the creators of Synapse, the other co-creator being the creator of thefacebook.com, with whom I worked on a small project several years ago.

D'oh
I just "splurged" and bought myself a $29.95 subscription to Keyhole a few days ago. Now what?
Man, just my luck. Just when I thought being able to show girls how I zoomed into their backyard and saw a fuzzy sattelite photo of them sunbathing topless was gonna get me laid. Now every Joe Schmo geek will be able to do it.
I guess I'll just stick to writing some social network things until it finally happens for me. -

The Face Book?
How is this different from The Face Book? It seems most college students are already more than willing to provide their personal details.

For the first two at least....
You mean like The Facebook?

Facebook
"Personally identifiable information on all college students"? Yeah, we already made our own, and its called The Facebook [http://thefacebook.com/].

Looking at the guy's facebook site, "sexy engineer" is the last ajective I'd use
Apparently Huggy Bear has ordered one!

Face Book is same for schools
The Face Book is a social network for people in the same college or university. You can fill out classes you're taking, and then see all the people who are also taking it, as well as fill out where you live, etc. Very popular with a lot of the schools that it supports (listing is on the home page).

the facebook
There is a similar site called The Facebook for universities. You can only join if you actually go to one of the listed universities (they have alot). Since universities are basically like huge communities, it's basically the same idea. It's really quite useful, because you can see people that are in your classes, live in your residence hall, etc. It also has a quite extensive search function. So, for example, you could search for "freshman" "females" living in "yourdorm" whose interests include "heavy drinking" and "casual sex". Quiiiite useful... =)
