You're arrogantAND an idiot.
Not surprising, since a) I haven't even heard of them
Your ignorance is no measure of anything but your ignorance.

Re:I always try to find blogs with pertinent info.
Here's a topic page with links to mostly right wing blog posts about the riots. Also, I recommend reading Jim Dunnigan In France, It's Not Jihad, and Never Has Been who's usually fairly insightful. And of course a link to my favorite blogger, Instapundit and finally The Belmont Club has a few posts about it, just scroll down.

Re:So why DO they riot, anyway?
one of the reasons is unemployment. France's national unemployment is around 8 or 10%. If you look only at young 20 somethings, then the unemployment is almost double that, and if you look at young 20 something immigrants, then its double that or so, almost 40% I think. Another reason I've heard are drug dealers and such criminals using the violence to keep the cops out of their turf. As of right now there is little suggesting islamic or jihadi influence as a cause of the riots. However I would bet that al qaeda and other radical islamic organizations are taking notice of the riots and planning. Here's a topic page with links to mostly right wing blog posts about the riots. If this was really interesting news to /. then...
there would have been mention in the comments of one of the well established blog ranking websites. Figuring out who's who among bloggers based on anything but traffic and click-through rate is subjective to the point of meaninglessness. Ironic that something as unreal as advertising is about the only thing that offers any measure of the reality behind the hype about blogging as a new media.

Many are written by experts...
If you look at the Truth Laid Bear Ecosystem, which ranks member blogs based on the amount of inbound links from other blogs, you will discover that many of the most popular blogs aren't written by drunk college students, but rather by people in their fields.
Instapundit, the #1 blog, is written by a UTenn law prof. Volokh Conspiracy, #4, is written by a UCLA law prof, with other well-known law professors contributing. #10 Michelle Malkin is a well known (and rather controversial) conservative journalist and author. #22 James Lileks writes columns for Newhouse and the MN Star-Tribune and authored a number of books. They aren't all just drunk college students - they are people with knowledge in their fields and some good writing chops.

Does litigation mean we've lost?
There are a couple of recent articles over at The Truth Laid Bear regarding various techno-approaches to spam and telemarketing. And this is good. However we see that regardless of the technology, spammers seem to wiggle around it.
Similarly, in the past few years, at least in the States, we've begun to see legislation on a state-by-state basis. Mostly to no avail.
So if technology isn't working, and legislation isn't working then does this imply that us resorting litigation indicates we are beaten? Is taking these scum-buckets to court a last desperate attempt by those of us frustrated by this flood-o-crap we call spam? -
