There are tons of them. Try going to one of the broadcast network's streaming services (such as AMC or USA), and try to watch one of the full episodes of a show. To do that, you have to prove you have some kind of cable subscription. There are the big ones listed up top (Verizon, Comcast, Cox, Dish, etc.), but you can look at the full list. It's a VERY long list. Sure, a few are only TV only, but the vast majority are also ISPs. And, yes, most of them are small ISPs.

And probably in Mr. Robot.

Re:To recap
Great analysis, but was it really worth missing your favorite episode of "Burn Notice" to write it?

Re:Sound like the usual pink sheet scam
Given that her house can be found In the Hamptons, an area so wealthy that there's a modestly successful comedy show featuring the area as a Doctor who caters to the wealthy, I'd say I wouldn't mind at all "occupying" the cell next to Martha Stewart...
Now, if only I had a few tens of thousand of dollars in ICOA stock...

Re:Great idea
Already happened on House, although the tattoo wasn't functional, they did MRI a patient with prison tattoos and cause him lots of pain.

Re:No app for that?
Perhaps he's a consultant for the show Burn Notice.

Re:Inmates and Organ Donation in the United States
Not quite true for lethal injection according to (e.g.): http://www.nytimes.com/2001/12/28/international/asia/28LETH.html. Footnote: This aspect of lethal injection was even the basis for a plot of the televison series "Monk":"Mr. Monk goes to jail" http://www.usanetwork.com/series/monk/theshow/episodeguide/episodes/s2_goestojail/index.html. (I do not assume that the last quote is scientifc proof, just an intersting footnote).

Re:MacGyver in 21st century tech wouldn't work any
I agree - if you wanted to do something like that today, you'd focus on the other aspects that a spy-action-hero-on-a-budget would do - still a little bit of rigging things where possible, but also a few clever physical tricks, some social engineering, and a lot more clever planning. We don't get the 80s version, but we still get something.

Maybe that guy on Psych? He has a Seth Greene vibe going.

Re:any hopes for new enterprise?
They've redone Battlestar Galactica, Kojak and War of the Worlds. Give it a few years and they will cash-in on the nostalgia and release a new film.
The cancellation of official Trek is IMO a good thing. It will motivate fans to create their own interpretations, such as the excellent New Voyages -
They could spend less money searching for...
This research could cost a lot less if they just did some searches on dudes in comas after car wrecks who wake up and save nurses' children from burning houses, only to learn their ex married someone else and feigned the bastard child off as the new guy's:

Johnny Smith could really help save some money here.
