The problem that I have with anthropogenic global warming is that it started out sounded like a science-based issue, but it has since moved into the realm that's more reminiscent of a religion (complete with established dogma, punishment of heretics, an apocalyptic theology, etc.).
IOW you were fine with it until somebody noticed that there could be real life consequences. Then you locked up, because that's something only religions talk about, but not real science - that lives in a world of spherical cows in a vacuum on a frictionless surface.

Nobody ever said they aren't dangerous. But the word "evil" is strictly used to stir people up. And everybody still ignores that big ol' elephant in the room. You all like to scream about all this religious bullshit, and completely overlook the big pile of money and weapons, courtesy the four friendly empires that are propping these people up for their own "needs". Convince ISIS to point their guns the other way, and will suddenly become "allies", just like Al Qaeda is now. There's lots of horse trading going on in deciding "who's a terrorist". It is extremely easy to see how they define the word. I know you are on a mission here, but you could apply a little "pragmatism" yourself when trying to defend your position, something a bit more substantive than the mere propaganda you're putting forth now.

Actually, I do try to follow all of the daily sorties, using both official/international reports and ground reports. The rate of coalition attacks in Syria had been really falling recently.
For one who wants to pay attention, this conflict has actually been fairly easy to follow because the regime and various rebel factions usually roughly agree on ground truths (roughly). There's not much "Baghdad Bobbing" here.
