You may be joking but that is actually 100% correct. Steve Jobs himself pointed out that Apple is a software company. Their hardware is nice but nobody would pay a premium for it if it ran Windows or if the iPhone ran Android. The hardware for a Mac or an iPhone is not meaningfully different from any number of their competitors. So that means that the reason people seek out Apple products is based in what they do differently and that is software.

People get confused about what sort of business Apple is because they won't sell you most of their software without bundling it with a piece of hardware. But a company is what they actually make and what they actually make is software.

And basically this is entirely invalidated by designing the phone such that the battery is not user-replaceable.

First of all, I've replaced batteries in iPhones many times and its incredibly easy. Here's a guy replacing one in four minutes. And you can even get a specific set of tools that will make it simple including the battery for around $25.

If that's too complicated there are thousands of places both local and online that will replace your battery for a very nominal fee.

It would take me probably half an hour to replace the PSU in my PC but I don't refer to it as being "not user-replaceable".

These professionals don't call them "UFOs" and if we trusted these people to handle Billion Dollar budgets, Nuclear missiles, B-52 Bombers, Fighter aircraft, Aircraft carriers, Passenger jets we fly in who are we to discount what they say they have all experienced. I thought UFOs were cover for military operations until I saw what these ex-service men and women had to say. The sheer weight of the witness testimony alone tells us there is a lot more going on than we are being told and I have gone from being a complete UFO skeptic to accepting these inevitable conclusions:

Even if you do discount all of this witness testimony you have to reason what 8.5 Trillion dollars worth of taxpayer money in Unacknowledged Special Access Projects paid for? The only way to really get to the bottom of this would be to support changes to law that relieve these personnel of secrecy oaths for unacknowledged (and illegal) projects that do not come under congressional control so that more of these people can come forward whilst still protecting the secrecy of the legal projects. Most of the stuff on Youtube is fake. Check out Captain Disillusion's channel. After you've seen a few videos, you won't trust many videos on Youtube any longer. He easily spots indicators that I would never recognize. It's just a pity that he can't produce more - the production quality of his videos is very, very high, so it takes a lot of time to make them.

That being said, among the more legit sources such as multiple recordings from TV channels, these are very rare and I've never seen anything that wasn't easily explained as an airplane, laser-show or reflection of headlights in the sky. The latter seems to be the most common phenomenon. They are also described by eye witnesses very often. When you see some blurry illuminated objects in the sky that are static or in slow uniform motion and then suddenly accelerate extremely fast, maybe changing their course rapidly, then chances are very, very high that you've seen the reflections of lights of some vehicle on ground.

All of that is not to say that you haven't seen a UFO, APK. I'm just pointing out that most of the sightings are not very credible. (Why did I write this? UFOs and possible life on extrasolar planets are among my long-term interests and I'm writing science fiction novels in my spare time.)

This is quite similar to psychokinetic and telekinetic powers. About 200 years ago, mediums could use the 'power of the mind' to move very heavy objects such as tables or people. And somehow, during the 20th century, the 'movable' size decreased while the ability to detect frauds increased. I wonder if we could design our next space station to more or less be this, once it is done. How do you get multi megawatt in space? If you scale nuclear up, can you cool it? It would be interesting to see the numbers.

What is the long term propellant? The reactor can add heat, but even so your on board supplies are finite. Maybe something like the old laser propulsion? link link (The first link is an ancient bit of Japanese animation, and not very accurate.)

Remember we don't need to accelerate fast. We just need to keep everyone alive and healthy and accelerate for a long time, and also be able to decelerate for a long time in the future and to make changes. I'd presume any on-board chemical propellant would be more for emergencies, unless there was a way to replace it.

Could you slingshot through the edge of a planets atmosphere and collect something that would work as propellant, perhaps after super heating it? Maybe you could compress a gas such as nitrogen into a liquid, store it, and use that as propellant? Assuming of course you could somehow work out a route that skims a planet just enough that you can collect and get free without using more propellant than you collect.

Nuclear pulse propulsion away from earth seems the most serious possibility. It is a pity that there is not a good way to study it further without contaminating our environment. Can we solve the problem of getting our payloads in orbit truly safely every time that we can afford to risk sending up something loaded with that much radioactive material?

There are a lot of possibilities. Just going back to the moon is stupid though, unless you have something more you are going to do. If that is the plan they might as well just use robots. They are at least cost effective. Actually most tech we develop will probably use robots, at least initially. Well, that, or people that don't mind that getting back is unlikely.

The idea of a small team of volunteers taking our first serious deep space craft out of our solar system would be very cool, even if it did use nuclear pulse propulsion. Even if there was only enough food for a few years or something, well there are bound to be volunteers that likely won't live much longer than that either way. At least we would be taking a small step forward as a society, which is something I rather suspect is slightly more impressive than Trump's magnificently great wall of bullshit.

Well you're doing yourself a disservice by listening to biased news that doesn't tell you the whole story. We know now without a shadow of a doubt that the Democratic Party paid Fusion GPS ... This happened.

And we don't know that even that happened. We don't know *who* specifically paid Fusion GPS, what Fusion GPS were paid for, nor what Steele's directives were after he was hired. Most disturbing is that no matter the source of funding or directives that some of what became known as the Steele dossier has been verified by independent sources.

Fusion GPS was contacted by a GOP member for Opp research. The Steele Dossier was separate. The media / DNC are pushing that narrative, but itâ(TM)s flat out wrong. The GOP didnâ(TM)t ask for the Steele Dossier, they asked for separate Opposition Research.

And yet we still don't know what was in the report the GOP associate(s) received. We don't know much of anything other than what's been disseminated, which truly sounds like a major case of CYA going on. Information warfare is dirty that way. Given that that's what this is, the only thing we know for certain is that the GOP associated entities have admitted to paying for research by FusionGPS.

The DNC / HRC campaign started the Steele Dossier.

We know this is false, even from what few facts are out there. Apparently Steele was hired by FusionGPS some period after being retained/hired by Perkins Coie via Marc Elias, a lawyer who represented the DNC. Hillary and the DNC leadership deny knowledge of this dossier. We know nothing else with certainty, although it is most telling that neither Hillary nor the DNC leadership appear to have used any information in the dossier prior to the election.

I don't youtube, and it is most definitely not a news source, although it may accidentally source some news in spite of itself. You'll also have to explain your definition of leftist, because I'm 99% certain I won't fit it. I do believe in facts, and partisanship has absolutely no place in determining whether something is a fact. It is true, or it is an "alternative fact", i.e., a falsehood, lie, wishful thinking, however you want to cast it in the context being used.

With that said, so far you've gotten exactly 2 facts - that a GOP member paid Fusion GPS for opposition research, and that subsequently Fusion GPS hired Steele and created what became known as the Steele Dossier. Other than those 2 things, everything you've stated is either provably wrong, mere speculation, or even wishful thinking. Exercise some critical thinking and you'll have to agree with that analysis, grudgingly or not. As an exercise, reverse all the associated names, ie, Hillary with Trump, DNC with GOP, and Russians with "email server" and see what you think. If your view changes, then all parts of your position that changed should be thrown out.
