Re:Fuck off with the iPhone masturbation
It actually depends on the type of digital camera, but most digital SLRs and MF backs absolutely have traditional mechanical shutters. Here's a YouTube clip of one taken out a Nikon D500 showing how they work, and another of a Canon 7D doing an exposure taken at 10,000fps that shows how the mirror assembly and shutter work.

Re: My Sentry safe model 1250..
This is one of the reasons why in Germany only about 12 persons per year get shot to death by the police.
There's practically no gun crime to speak of in Germany. In the United States, there's plenty. Go put a badge on, and then spend some time policing. Tell me what you're going to do when some punk doesn't listen to commands and starts reaching like he has a gun. Tell me you're going to be John Wayne and shoot the guy's pistol out of his hand.
Does he have a pistol? Why isn't he following commands. Think fast now.

There are major differences between the parties. Trouble is, the left does what the left does. They start with newspapers, teaching, Well here it is -

Just think of how much of that is already done. Part of that is making people think they are the same thing. Towards that end we have "Republicans" that are Republicans in name only - a RINO. We know who they are, Susan Collins, John McCain that you are probably familiar with. The Democrats go from good guys to just outright flaming crazy. Maxine Waters comes to mind, Nancy Peleosi. They get so mad that sometimes they think George Bush is still president -

Most websites don't have any terms of service
Presumably you've agreed to the sites Terms of Service and you[r] request(s) comply with them, no?
I think that's a very unrealistic and uncommon presumption. 99% of the websites that I access, I have not agreed to any terms of service and I don't even know if they offer any special terms.
By default, websites don't have any documented terms of service. The terms are just: send a request and I'll probably send you back a reply. (It's not like, by default, an Apache install comes with a generic ToC boilerplate legalese thing.)
And most websites use this default (essentially: no terms). You're normally only limited by whatever the law happens to be, combined with various technical limitations. Usually there's no deviation, explained in some contract, which overlays the default situation.
Of course, there are exceptions. A website having terms isn't so uncommon that we're all shocked by the thought of it. But whenever that happens, there is always a mechanism whereby the website refuses service, until you have agreed to the terms.
And if the website doesn't refuse service without agreement to the "terms," then the "terms" weren't really terms.
Imagine I said this: "I'll sell you my old car for $10k. Those are the terms: pay me $10k and I'll sign over the title on my car to you."
You refuse my terms (because the car totally isn't worth it). Then you say, "Hey, can I have your car for free?" and I reply, "Sure, it doesn't run anyway. Just get that thing out of here. No? Ok, I'll pay you $50 to tow it out of here!"
Did you subvert or evade my terms? No, I say you discovered my true terms. Or maybe you persuaded me of your new terms, you damn Jedi.
It's always worth asking again, and everything is negotiable.

What? My great rant is OBE already?
What? The Mooch is ALREADY gone? Poor #PresidentTweety!
My next speculation is that they'll call the clown car back and Sean Spicer will be allowed to hang around for a while.
All of this AFTER I wrote a GREAT rant? I'm so OBE? I'm SO sad. NOT.
Oh well, just for the off-record, here's part of the rant that could have been funny history:
Welcome to the Bungling Brother's Flying White House Circus with ringmaster the Mooth!
The Mooch has already fired Reince Preibus out of the Bannon Cannon, and tomorrow's show will be a cage match between the Mooth and General Kelly! No ref, because #PresidentTweety (the Bungling Brother himself) doesn't want to get involved in the squabbles he caused! Smart money says Kelly will win, but when has anything smart happened in this White House? If the Mooch wins, his next targets will be Mad Dog Mattis, McMaster, Tillerson, and even the YUGE Bannon!
Get your tickets and popcorn now! It's the YUGEST unGREATEST show on earth, right before they blow up the planet!
My next plan was to work in this latest footage of discussions at the White House: https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

Overhead line near appartmentsI don't have video of the emergencies I've been to, as I usually had other things on my mind, but on several occasions, the water would literally boil out of the earth all around the crater. Yeah, crater. When underground electric goes, it usually goes bigtime.
Rest assured, if you're in a neighborhood without overhead power lines, that shit (and maybe worse) runs through your back yard. In one subdivision where a communications digger got killed, there were two 600A 13.4kv 3 phase feeders feeding switches a half mile away (i.e. six total 1000mcm lines, at 4 feet depth), plus 2 single phase 2AL w/ concentric neutrals which fed the local distribution. One of them wasn't even on the blueprints! Basically, the power feed for the entire neighborhood ran through the people's back yard. Great engineering work eh.
So yeah, I'm full of shit. Go dig over a power line, Highdude702.

When did he take credit for anything at Pixar except funding it for the initial 10 years?
According to "The Second Coming of Steve Jobs" by Alan Deutschman, when Steve Jobs presented Toy Story at SIGGRAPH 1995, an industry group that he has no affiliation with. The animators, who were affiliated with SIGGRAPH, had to watch from the backstage. Steve Jobs funded the second decade of Pixar after purchasing it from George Lucas.

Reporter is an ignoramus
A reporter at ZDNet counters that "the only way to really secure Flash is to get rid of it... If Flash lives, people will continue to use it, and without security support, it will be even more insecure than ever."
Flash was not intended to be the de facto scripting language for the web. Repeat: Flash was never intended to bring scripting to websites.
Flash was designed to do one simple thing: Allowing animators to transmit animated movies over low-bandwidth dial-up connections. (YouTube version if you don't have Flash). Instead of transmitting compressed video, it would transmit a background, sprites, and instructions for moving, rotating, zooming, and animating the sprites against the background according to a timed script. It's still used for this purpose today.
To understand why Flash took over the web, you have to go back to the mid-90s. The web had just become mainstream, and the new population of web designers were pushing the envelope of HTML's capabilities. They sorely wanted to be able to add animation (other than the ridiculous blink tag), audio, and scripting so visitors could do things other than just view static content. The W3C (organization setting HTML standards) refused. So web designers looked elsewhere, and lo and behold they found Flash. It did most everything they wanted. But because it was only designed to play animations, not run scripted websites, security was never considered in the design. But with the W3C refusing to add these capabilities to HTML (they wouldn't for over 15 years), web designers all began using Flash on their websites. It soon became a de facto web standard, and everything went downhill from there.
I don't give a whit about Flash websites. I hated them when they first appeared, I still hate them now. Nothing would make me happier than if they all disappeared forever. But there's a huge amount of artistic and programming content out there written for Flash (I have a folder full of a few Flash movies, early zombie games, and old arcade game clones). It would be incredibly short-sighted to consign these locally run Flash animations and games to the dust bin because I hated Flash websites. -

Re:Never say never ....
With older homes, it's common to find a rat's nest of phone wires around a junction box in the garage or near the point of entry [...]
Entertaining aside...
I'm old--I still remember "The Phone Company."
Back when I was a kid, my Dad was thinking about adding a second phone line in the kitchen. He called up The Phone Company and they wanted to charge a lot of money. But he knew a guy who would do it for a six-pack of Schaefer. But, of course, back then it was "illegal" for anyone other than The Phone Company to mess with the phone wires. So this guy wired everything up so it could be easily removed/hidden, just in case The Phone Company had to come out to your house.
Years later, my Mom wanted to get DSL. The local provider came out, tried to check all the phone lines, and found one that he couldn't figure out. That was the hidden one.
Fortunately, we never got caught by The Phone Cops.

Reaganomics worked and worked well. We saw a decrease in the middle class because they were promoted out out of it. The US saw the largest economic expansion the world had ever seen. It wasn't "trickle down", it was trickle everywhere. Everyone benefited from his policies. Obummer said he was a minor set back in their plan to destroy America.
BTW, where did 9T go to under Obummer? https://www.youtube.com/watch?... So where's the liberal media? Why aren't they throwing a hissy fit? Just think about that a moment. 9 T Bucks. That's more debt than all the Presidents before Obama put together.

How ignorant can one person be?
It's like a constant droning every day with people complaining about all that stuff you mentioned.THE UNITED STATES IS NOT A MONOLITH! WE DO NOT AGREE ON ANYTHING WHATSOEVER!
For crying out loud. 3.3 million of us are Muslim, and 7 million are Jewish. You say: "I did not hear of you guys "hanging" all those politicians, bankers and lobby-ist that led to crashing the system in 2008 and destroyed the middle class."
The ignorati mostly voted for Trump because they believed that he was NOT a member of that group and would "drain the swamp". dumbasses all, I agree, but the point is they wanted things to change.
But have you never heard of occupy Wall Street all over the country?
http://occupywallst.org/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?...In addition to the fools who thought Trump was an outsider, almost half the voters DID NOT vote for Trump. What do you think is their position on the things that you mention?
Or have you even thought about it at all, the fact that almost half the country voted for the left-wing Hillary Clinton? Do you think that Hillary voters are against all the things you mention? And what do you think were the positions of those who voted for Bernie Sanders in the primaries?
https://www.washingtonpost.com...
Let me guess, you never heard of Bernie either, or have you not thought of the positions of his supporters?Keep in mind that this is the country that elected Barack Obama twice. It's wrong to paint us with such a broad brush.

Re:Jail time for contempt of court
Is that why Chris Mathews had a thrill run up his leg during the Obama inauguration? https://www.youtube.com/watch?...
Obama had the friendliest media coverage in the last 30 plus years. George W. Bush was treated so unfairly by the establishment media that it literally launched Fox news as one of the largest cable news outlets because people (especially conservatives) were so sick of the rampant left wing bias. By any meaningful statistic George W Bush and Trump have both been treated horribly by the press, and Obama had a continuous love fest with the exception of Fox News (who he tried to kick out of the WH news pool and lied to a fedeal judge so he could spy on their reporters like James Rosen). With the exception of Rush Limbaugh and a few other COMMENTATORS with relatively small audiences (not the national news outlets) Bill Clinton got very favorable coverage until he was caught sexually harassing an intern in the white house (and there he earned what he got). Hillary Clinton was caught during the campaign getting questions passed to her ahead of the debate from Donna Brazile of CNN, a clear violation of debate standards, and an unfair advantage for which Brazile was fired. http://www.washingtonexaminer....
http://www.washingtontimes.com...
https://www.theatlantic.com/po...
http://www.foxnews.com/opinion..."President Trump handles criticism very differently than earlier presidents. For one, reporters who interview him say that he speaks a little too casually, and often is the leak, which does him no favors. The other is that he "hits back" when criticized, even over trivial things."
I agree that Trump hits back every time, no mater how trivial, but I think that is due in large part to what happened with George W. Bush. Bush chose to be classy and didn't "stoop to their level" with the openly hostile media and that ended up with him essentially being constantly pounded by the press who saw it as weakness. Bush was certainly not the best public speaker, but he was also not a blithering idiot, anyone who thinks he was is an idiot and ignorant of historical facts.
"Most kids who survived an American high school know that fighting back against a crowd that's teasing you will only make matters worse."
Apparently Trump learned the same lesson that I did in high school. If you have a crowd that is teasing you, single out the most obnoxious one and beat the piss out of him. I only had to do that one time and I never go teased again. I tried ignoring them for a year beforehand (like George Bush taking the high ground) and that was definitely not the solution.
"The President of the United States has been the nation's punching bag for a very long time; there's just nothing new about scathing presidential criticism."
By commentators and comedians maybe, but hard news people are supposed to be sticking to facts, and so far with Trump that is clearly not the case. They are actively participating in an attempt to steal the election from Trump because they personally hate the man, and if/when Trump is cleared of any wrong doing (which he almost certainly will, after 8 months of investigation, all the facts so far do not indicate any criminal activity), I hope Trump sues each and every news outlet who reported falsely on the Russia "scandal". If CNN and a few other major outlets go the way of Gawker, the shit heads running the other outlets will get their minions under control for fear of losing t
