Samsung {...} Sony, and everyone else have their stuff made by Foxconn too.

Not every single company manufactures its stuff exclusively in China.
For example, Sony still manufactures in Japan.
(And Samsung obviously manufactures a lot in South Korea)

Those non-China-made products include their smartphones (and other high-tech, hi-priced gadgets), they'll prefer outsourcing less sensitive accessories (wall wart charger).

Yes, it is true. A typical alkaline AA battery has up to 2800 mAh capacity. Of course, this is at 1.5V, so the power capacity is around 4.2 Wh. So 3 of them would be around 12.6 Wh. A, iPhone Xs Max has a 3174 mAh battery, at about 4.2V. So around 12.6 Wh. So yes, about the same capacity.

Their online store is finally beginning to make some profit, but the bulk of their operating income continues to come from AWS. It made more money than their store last year, despite having less than 1/8th the revenue.

So it would've been stupid for competing online stores to use AWS. They would've literally been bankrolling their competition. I get what you're saying about picking the best product. It works when the company you're paying keeps financial and operational separation between their divisions (e.g. Samsung Semiconductor giving preferential treatment to Apple over Samsung Mobile because Apple was paying them more). But Amazon was literally using money made by AWS to bankroll the growth of the Amazon store.

That's a line from a few years ago. South Korea definitely relied on ActiveX but if you search for articles about it you'll find they are all dated either early this decade or late last decade. Anything more recently will net you stories like this:

In terms of ActiveX deployment South Korea are truly number 1, there's no arguing that. But it's no where near as bad as it was in the past. The government has already depreciated the use of Active X for citizen authentication, and many banks have already moved away too.
