That has nothing to do with the context of the discussion

No, it has everything to do with the context of "the discussion." You are mistaken in what "the discussion" is.

That's not "the discussion" I'm having. I may have replied to you, but that doesn't mean I'm not creating my own discussion. In the discussion I started - and you willingly joined - I said two things:

    1) existence of biological differences is strong evidence against God (though for the record, the onus was never one the non-believer to disprove God, no more they have to disprove the existence of Zeus or a teapot on the dark side of the moon)

    2) Christians are amusingly ironic, as while they hate godless commies, they themselves believe in highly communist ideas

You didn't really respond to point 1 (since I AGREED with you... I said "indeed comrade" remember? So your questions in the end do not need to be answered), but you seem miffed about point 2, trying to distance Christians from "retarded leftist westerners". THIS is the discussion we're having now.

There is a new book that witches around the world are drooling over. It's title is Witchcraft Out of the Shadows, and it's Author is Leo Ruickbie. The website is www.witchcraftoutoftheshadows.com. In a dark time of apostasy around the world, witchcraft is sadly rearing it's ugly head like never before. With Harry Potter, Sabrina the Witch, the Witches TV series, the Church of Satan, and so many other godless influences on our young people, it's to no surprise that the Devil is gaining ground quickly. Let may say right from the beginning... WITCHCRAFT OF ALL FORMS IS SATANIC! The witches and Wiccans can deny it all they want, but the Bible is the FINAL AUTHORITY, not the witches. The Word of God is eternal, It never changes because God never changes...

"For I am the LORD, I change not..." â"Malachi 3:6

God says in His Word that WITCHCRAFT IS A SIN...

"For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft..." â"1st Samuel 15:23

The same God that condemned witchcraft in the Old Testament still condemns witchcraft today. God loves all people (including witches), but he hates sin. Psalm 97:10 challenges ALL Christians to HATE SIN...

"Ye that love the LORD, hate evil..." â"Psalm 97:10

I hate witchcraft, but I love all people. It is WRONG to hate people. I don't hate anyone, despite what my enemies would like to believe. I DO hate sin because God has commanded me to hate sin. ALL believers should hate sin. I love Jesus Christ and am faithfully obeying the Bible by exposing witchcraft. Wicca is black witchcraft. ALL witchcraft is black because there is no such thing as "white sin." To claim that there is "white witchcraft" is to claim that there is "white sin." There is NO such thing as a little "white lie," all lying is as dark as the blackness of hell. ALL sin is black, dark and evil. I am just addressing the witches on their own terms, since they like to differentiate between "white" and "black" witchcraft. If that is the case, then ALL witchcraft is very black, evil through and through.

There is a frightening trend amongst witches to attempt to repackage (to redefine) their history. This new book, Witchcraft Out of the Shadows, attempts to do just that. Leo Ruickbie tries to discredit Christianity and the Bible with his flawed reasonings. He tries to explain "where witchcraft came from?," and "where it is going?" I have a one word answer for the curious reader for both question: HELL

Ruickbie claims to have done an "in-depth" investigation into history to survey the dark-side of the human psyche and it's bias against witchcraft over the centuries. He goes on to claim that many of today's modern negative ideas concerning witchcraft originate in ancient myths and religions. In short, Ruickbie is saying that the Bible is flawed having it's origins in ancient myths. The entire premise of the modern day witchcraft movement is that the Bible is NOT God's Word. Of course, they are 100% WRONG! The Bible is God's eternal, inspired, infallible, inerrant, preserved Word. As you can clearly see, there is NO common ground between Christians and witches. Christians believe that the Bible is God's inspired Word, and the witches denounce it as myths and superstitions.

What does the Bible say? The first mention of the word "witch" in the Bible was made by Moses in Exodus 22:18. God had instructed Moses to impose the death penalty for anyone proven guilty of committing the sin of witchcraft. Wow! For a sin to be punishable by death, it must have been pretty serious to God. Notice again the Scripture I quoted to you earlier from 1st Samuel 15:23, "For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft..." Witchcraft is equal to rebellion! Witchcraft is rebellion against God. The Bible condemns witches and witchcraft, I don't have to.

"And he caused his children to pass through

  8. So, you think we should

No, I don't think we "should" anything. I was just describing one possible future. A future which I don't think is unlikely.

I've been told by the religious that the current way of the West (the secular way) is deviant from its Christian roots ("Christian Nation" being a part of the zeitgeist), and that Islam is going to out breed and out last the godless amoral secular governments.

That already exists, it's called Islam. ...
This sounds like a poor solution to the problem of needing simple jobs for simple people.

Well, from my understanding of history and human nature, people will turn to even a poor solution or even a worse solution if they're really sick of what they have now, and believe that any change is better than the status quo.

So again, I think the future I described isn't that unlikely. In a way it's just history repeating itself: people tend to turn to religion when times are bad.

  9. What is a "Christian nation" and how is it different from a nation of Christians?

You tell me. "Christian Nation" is thrown around by Christians. It seems to mean anything they want, depending on the circumstances.

When it's government interference they don't like, "Christian Nation" is thrown around as synonymous with the principles of liberty and individual rights, as if to make Christians more qualified to speak of liberty and "our" "core" values.

But when government does NOT interfere on something that goes against Christian values (say, gay marriage, abortion), "Christian Nation" is thrown around as justification that government should intervene. Those who disagree must be godless sinful commies. "Eat shit, fagot"

It's basically the same way feminists throw around how they "as a woman" are somehow more qualified to speak about gender equality (aka all genders are equal, but some are more equal than others) and if you disagree you must be sexist. "Eat shit, bigot"

And when something like 80% of Evangelical Christians vote for Republican candidates and against socialist policies

This statement is an contradiction. Voting for Republican is not a vote against socialist policies. It's a vote for a different set of socialist policies than that of the Democrats. This cannot be more true today when the Republican POTUS would fail harder as a Christian than all the other Republicans who tried to get the nomination (multiple marriages, he pissed off the Catholic Pope, his wants to block out Mexicans who are mostly Christians, and he's rich so him going to heaven is harder than a camel going through the eye of a needle)

Also, listen to yourself. You are saying that Christians are a group of people whose political positions are largely shaped by the social group they identified with, and that they, as a group, engage in politics which try to promote political positions based on the interests and perspectives of their identified group.

That's identity politics dude. It's the modus operandi of socialists.

And you can't say Christians are only doing this now because those godless commies have been gaining ground. Christians have been part of politics and mingling with government since Constantine stop persecuting them and instead became a patron. They're kinda the reason "separation of church and state" became a desired thing.

are you telling me they're doing Christianity wrong?

Nah, you'll have to tell me. After all, you said I don't understand Christianity. I do however understand what socialism is when I see it. You may think Christianity doesn't *mean* socialism. I'm just pointing that Christianity *is* socialist in their actions.

All but $10 of his medications are paid for by his employer's medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance -- now Joe gets it, too.

He prepares his morning breakfast: bacon and eggs. Joe's bacon is safe to eat because some girly-man liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry.

In the morning shower, Joe reaches for his shampoo. His bottle is properly labeled with each ingredient and its amount in the total contents because some crybaby liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained.

Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some environmentalist wacko liberal fought for the laws to stop industries from polluting our air.

He walks on the government-provided sidewalk to the subway station for his government-subsidized ride to work. It saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees because some fancy-pants liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor.

Joe begins his work day. He has a good job with excellent pay, medical benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some lazy liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Joe's employer pays these standards because Joe's employer doesn't want his employees to call the union.

If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed, he'll get a worker compensation or unemployment checks because some stupid liberal didn't think he should lose his home because of his temporary misfortune.

It is noontime and Joe needs to make a bank deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe's deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some godless liberal wanted to protect Joe's money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the Great Depression.

Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae-underwritten mortgage and his below-market federal student loan because some elitist liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his lifetime. Joe also forgets that in addition to his federally subsidized student loans, he attended a state funded university.

Joe is home from work. He plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive. His car is among the safest in the world because some America-hating liberal fought for car safety standards to go along with the taxpayer funded roads.

The house didn't have electricity until some big-government liberal stuck his nose where it didn't belong and demanded rural electrification.

He is happy to see his father, who is now retired. His father lives on Social Security and a union pension because some wine-drinking, cheese-eating liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn't have to.

Joe gets back in his car for the ride home, and turns on a radio talk show. The radio host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. He doesn't mention that the beloved conservatives have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day. Joe agrees: "We don't need those big-government liberal

They hold no elected offices and don't even bother to field serious national candidates. The highest ranking leftist in elected office in the US, AFIK, is Kshama Sawant, of the Trotskyst Socialist Alternative party. She has a seat on the Seattle City Council. That's hardly comparable to the double digit vote % the Communists got in most elections in late Wiemar Germany. Communist revolutionaries were involved in the German Revolution and civil war earlier in the Wiemar period; they staged mass strikes and took over major cities and even briefly ran them as Soviets. The German Social-Democratic Party (SPD), the party from which the German Communist Party (KPD) had originated, was still a serious socialist party, committed to the (gradual) elimination of capitalism. It was the biggest and most successful left wing party at the time and had formed several governments. SPD and KPD spend most of the 20s fighting each other, and their failure to unite against fascism until it was too late was a big factor contributing to the rise of Hitler. The US hasn't had anything even remotely like any that since the Seattle General Strike of 1919 and the labor wars (particular among miners) of the 1920s. Even then we never had a leftist organization as big and powerful as the KPD, much less the SPD. The US Communist Party peaked in power in the late 1930s and early 1940s, but by that time they had adopted a "Popular Front" strategy of supporting liberals in order to better fight fascism. It was hardly an anti-government revolutionary tendency. The CIO purged Communists in the wake of the 1947 Taft-Hartley Act, and Cold War liberals turned against their former supporters during the second Red Scare. The Communist Party never regained it's strength in either the labor movement or mainstream politics.
