off the Lone Gunmen in tonight's episode of the X-Files. After a short
introduction that re-introduced the group as trying to save "a world that isn't too kind
to idealists," the episode progressed until the Gunmen realized their destiny
with Langley's quotes about Joey Ramone, and then Byer's quote "We never gave
up, and we never will. In the end, if that's all they can say about us, it'll
do." The episode then built to an ending where the Gunmen group gave their
lives to thwart a bio-terrorist financed by a business tycoon.I don't know about you guys, but back in the prime of the X-Files, these guys
were as close a role model as I could find on television as a kid. I was
deeply disappointed with the cancellation of the show (sure the pilot sucked,
but the next few episodes were good). I feel glad that these characters were
allowed to retire with dignity before the end of the show."

Let me all give you a piece of advice on etiquette: Any time there's a movie or a TV show that people haven't seen yet, DON'T SPOIL IT! Show some consideration! It's okay to review it, just make sure we don't accidentally run across it. At least say 'spoilers ahead!'

The ENTIRE THREAD, including the TITLE was designed to be a SPOILER. And you happily posted it right on the front page. Don't EVEN cry about mis-timing the posting of this thread. You did something incredibly stupid by even POSTING a spoiler story like this, regardless of the timing. What were you thinking?!
But by including the spoilage in the article title they've ensured it gets syndicated to anywhere syndicating Slashdot headlines.

I had the episode somewhat spoiled for my by your thoughtless headline, but you could have minimized the damage to others by pulling or changing the headline! You're not printing uncorrectable newspapers here! Use the medium, for god's sake.
Spoiling the ending of one of the all-time nerdest TV shows for an audience of nerds should be a capital offense on a "news for nerds" site. Realizing the damage done and then not bothering to minimize for subsequent readers isn't even forgivable. CHRISD, you're a real piece of work.

Characters on a TV screen are NOT role models, sorry to break that to you. No wonder suckdot allowed this stench to be posted..they're all just like the poster.
And the girl in The Crying Game is a guy, "rosebud" is the sled, and Bruce Willis is actually a ghost in "Sixth Sense!" Anyone else?
You forgot to mention that Gandalf is really Sauron in disguise.
Deckard was a replicant, Rocky wins the last fight, Kevin Spacey is the bad guy in The Usual Suspects, Brad Pitt's character's wife dies at the end of Seven, Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt's character in Fight Club) is just a figment of Edward Norton's mind, Star Trek: The Motion Picture never gets any better than the first hour. Oh yeah, and the alien ship is actually Voyager.
But the story is still on the frontpage for people to see. Where's the respect for those who live in different countries where the episode hasn't been shown yet, or for those who taped(Tivo'd)it to watch later.
The story should be pulled off the frontpage immediately, renamed and put in the tv only section if people really want to discuss it.
In short, even if he had posted it at the proper time, chrisd showed and continues to show a complete lack of awareness for advances in the realm of television watching technology.
