Zelda GameCube Bundle Dated
Thanks to the Gaming-Age forum regulars for pointing out that the GameCube hardware bundle, including classic Zelda titles will have a November 18th retail release at a $99 price point, according to the EBGames site. This means the hardware bundle, including bonus disc "containing multiple classic Zelda titles" (specifically The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, and a demo of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker) will now arrive in stores on the same day as Mario Kart: Double Dash, another eagerly-awaited Nintendo title.
to know if they will provide early adopters a chance to actually get these instead of shelling out for the hardware again.
Exactly where can I order this and be guaranteed to have this bundle?

Maybe I'm just out of it, but I am not seeing where on the ebgames site you are getting this November 18 date from.
Could we have a direct link, please? Thanks.

In 5 years when they are selling used cubes for $20 in bins, will you feel cheated by that too? It's a pretty reliable rule that the longer you wait on a technology purchase, the better value you will get for your money.
& I wish I knew the password to your heart . . . &
No, but it's still their current generation of technology. ...19,20.
Sorry, my karma just ran over your dogma.
Why was this great title for SNES left out?

Not long after Wind Waker's release, tons of the preorder bonus disc were available "used" at game stores like EB (though most of the copies were untouched). I'm sure plenty of people just wanted Wind Waker, and saw selling the unwanted bonus disc back as collecting free money (or free store credit, more likely).
Likewise, plenty of holiday GC purchases will be by people uninterested in "that crappy old games disc". If the used bins aren't polluted with a bunch of copies before Christmas, they certainly will be after.
Still, hopefully there will be more direct ways of getting a copy, similar to the Wind Waker ones you cited.
(BTW, Super NES through S-Video is awesome. Enjoy.)
Looks like I'll be purchasing a Gamecube at walmart and be returning it sans-bonus disk. Walmart is the greatest rental store/free components store ever.
Very few physical things manage to retain their worth over time. Certainly nothing technological does with the few and far between exceptions that become collector items.
This gradual price drop has been a constant for every single video game system released so far, and for some reason you expected the GameCube to be immune to this trend?
The only way in which i would consider you to have "lost out" in any sense was if you left your GameCube in it's original packaging and never played it at all. In that case however i would consider you to be an idiot, not to have been cheated. Next time, if you don't consider the value of being able to play the newest games as soon as they come out to be greater than the $200 or $300 price of the newest console, don't buy it.
This Space Intentionally Left Blank
How is it that everyone believes that this bundle has been confirmed, when all stories simply point toIGN's report??? IGN is the only website that has "confirmed it", but the only proof they offer is an easily created image of the bonus disc packaging, and every other site on the Internet has been quoting them like it's gospel!
Despite my cynicism, I sincerely hope the bonus disc exists. I've been a Zelda fan since the first game was released way back in the day, and I'd love to have it on a console again. But claiming that it's been confirmed just because one website has a story about it is irresponsible and annoying. It's times like this I truly hate the Internet, because it validates rumours with no real proof.
Finally, if you believe IGN and the rumour mill, and are displeased with the idea that the bonus disc may only be packaged with new Gamecubes), e-mail Nintendo. If they get enough e-mails, perhaps they'll release the disc separate from a bundle as well, even if it is at the normal retail price of a Gamecube game (it'd certainly be worth that price to me).
perhaps a bit too long, but this is what will finally get me to shell out $100 bucks for a GameCube. Though personally, I do wish it came with A Link To The Past (rather than forcing me to get the GBA version)
It's sad in a way that this will be my first Nintendo Console since the NES. With the exception of my Gameboy, while there have been enough titles available for the other consoles that I own, Nintendo has always been had issues. Even on the Gamecube, the only games I'm really after is are Pikmin, Zelda, and Super Mario Sunshine.
Even sadder that the only reason I'm buying it, is that someone gave me a $100 Amex Gift Certificate that I earmarked 6 months ago for the originally rumored price drop in May.
I spent 4 times that much in PS2, Xbox, Saturn, and GBA games in the last month.
Might be too little, too late. But one of my fridge magnets will soon be available for other purposes. Hmm, maybe I should set aside $10 for an N*Gage once that bottom falls out on that in a week or two.

Why don't you throw in Link's Adventure while you're at it?
Absolutely Perfect timing. I just bought a gamecube this weekend. Now what am I going to do?
It's already on GameBoy Advance, so you'd have to buy the GBA->GCN Adapter.
You know, I waited around for the price of Suikoden II to drop from $45 when it first came out. Now you can get it on Ebay for the low, low price of $105.
from the IGN article:
At Nintendo's request, we have removed the package art from our site. With no official Nintendo announcement, this is still to be treated as a rumor.
Also, the link provided to EBGame's reference of this bundle has been taken down.

Um, no. Link's Adventure is a Gameboy game outside of the Legend of Zelda series. Zelda II : Adventure of Link and Link's Adventure are two different games.
Actually, it's Link's Awakening, not Link's Adventure.
For reference, here's the total Zelda series (not counting the CDI titles)
The Legend of Zelda
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest
BS Zelda (Japan only, SNES Satteliteview)
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to The Past (Including Four Swords)
The Legend of Zelda: The Four Swords (gamecube, upcoming)
I'm not sure of what the full title of Tetra's Trackers will be.
The CDI titles were Link: The Faces of Evil, Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon, and Zelda's Adventure.
Zelda characters have been playable in Super Smash Bros, Super SMash Bros Melee, and The GC version of Soul Calibur 2.
