Necro man, just come over to my place and play on mine. I've only got a single wiimote, and a few games I've rented from blockbuster, but so far it's been a blast. We've done 3 or 4 wii parties where we've taken turns playing wiisports and excite truck.
While most people won't believe this, and I'm not sure I believe it myself, a friend of mine claimed the same thing about 6 months ago. That he'd contracted HIV from a hooker a few years back, and that later tests revealed him to be clean. He claims his self-destructive habits managed to cure it by burning it out of his body.
I was always skeptical about it, though I know he's clean now, as I know his current girlfriend. I simply figured he'd never had it, but this makes me wonder.
Good. With the Wifi cracked it won't be too long til someone manages to get Wifi working under DSLinux. I'm looking forward to being able to use my DS as a portable SSH terminal with a touchpad. It'll come in handy, being able to login at hotspots to get my mail and my servers. Carrying my laptop with me is too much trouble, but I've almost always got my DS with me now.
Dakine makes some really nice student bags, with concealed laptop pockets, cd holders, and even cd sleeves, built right into the bag. Not to mention the lifetime warranty.
I enjoyed the SNES Shadowrun, but it paled in comparison with the SEGA Shadowrun, which was much more of a Party-Based Action-RPG, rather than an Action-RPG with light puzzles.
Closer to the mayor getting the police drug statistics and figuring out which drug rehab clinics will provide the best publicity with the lowest operating costs.
The only game I can recall with a decent sanity system was Eternal Darkness for the gamecube. I'm sure there were others, but that was the only one that left an impression on me.
The Silent Hill games have an insanity system, but it's less related to the characters and more related to the world.
In theory, the new Cthulhu game has a sanity system, which may count as prior art, and that brings up an interesting idea. Does a system that has been developed but not yet released count as prior art?
I'm just hopeful that this leads to some new games exploring insanity.
Game Girl Advance provides two solid viewpoints on the issue.
One is the whole "It was locked out, had to be hacked to access" issue.
And the other, "It was still on the final master disc when it shipped."
It's a tough question, should the ESRB have access to all materials on the master disc? or just the materials that are available to anyone who doesn't attempt to hack the game?
However, GTA : SA is a Mature game, at least in terms of rating, and as far as I've seen, the sex, though more explict than that found in most video games isn't a big deal.
But then again, I'm one of those whackos who doesn't have a problem with sex.
And one of those who finds a certain catharsis through violence.
I've literally had campaigns killed by rules lawyering.
A story that some might enjoy, though without all the details that make it really fun.
The rules lawyer had been out to get me for a while, since I was playing my character in a manner that opposed his, given that I was a priest and he was a technocrat. He convinced the DM and the rest of the party, that the party would be better if my priest died.
Thus the DM proceeded to bring in his buddy, the UberDM, to create a 100% perfect kill for my character. So, I died, and rolled up a new character.
The new character, a ranger, got thrown into the party without a reason to join them. He ends up traveling with them mostly to cut down on the danger, and spends his time being cunning but impulsive.
I end up a little bored after a nasty encounter, where the rules lawyer argued with the DM over size issues, and the DM called the UberDM for a ruling.
Thus, when the next challenge, a huge cliff with a lake at the bottom comes up, I do the math and leap on the cliff, figuring that I'd survive unless the dm rolled 9 sixes. The odds of that are huge, and I'm willing to lose a character over odds like that.
However, the rules lawyer wasn't, and spent the next 90 minutes trying to argue how the damage from the fall should be calculated, and a variety of other things.
It was at this point that 2 of the players left, and in the end, it was just the DM and the Lawyer arguing, while I sat there.
I bought a lockbox from these guys, and a couple of mounting plates. It solved my laptop problems. I've carried a few grand in it before and had no concerns about it.

It was probably a shuffle. I know I've left mine in my pocket before. Then again, my mother doesn't do my wash either. I'd probably be using my ipod when I went to wash them.
I've had a slot drive on an imac that started to act odd.
For a while, it wouldn't eject the DVDs, they'd get half way out and get stuck. It was tricky to get the dvds out. Happens randomly, it seems.
I had to deal with this problem a few years ago. I had a laptop stolen, and I got a bit paranoid about it, and started looking for options. In the end, I settled for a mobile safe. Eventually, I settled on these guys:

Yes, the website is a little primative, but the product is great. I bought one for my van, and then a second mounting plate for my apartment. I just open the safe, reach inside, twist the bolts and then pop the safe off the plate. Then I carry it inside, slide it into the plate, reach inside, twist the bolts, and it's securely locked in place. Takes about two minutes.
Basically, to steal my laptop from my van, they need to steal my van. It isn't a perfect solution, but it definately prevents the smash and grab.
It means after work, I can slide my laptop into the safe and then not worry about it while I'm out with friends trying to give my brain a break.
The xbox mounts nicely under a coffee table, while the gamecube mounts nicely under a bed. The PS2 tends to mount better on top of things, specifically on top of the coffee table the xbox is under. At least that's my experience.
I have yet to hear anything about the memory card issue, and I purchased a new slim PS2 in november. My old cards worked fine.
As for the rest of it, yes the hard drive issue is vaguely annoying, but I think that's basically sony admitting the that not many people want the hard drive.
As other people have said, it doesn't need a network adaptor, it's preinstalled.
The overheating is not an issue that I've seen. I've run mine for a good 20 hours straight without any issues.

Quite interesting, though I'd have been a bit more impressed if they'd managed to install some better controls on it.
These people obviously have, and they're from new york.

A liberatarian who supports criminalization of abortion? For shame!

I stand corrected. I was not aware that convention based games charged extra.
If you read it, Cons are excluded.
It's the death-knell for monthly non-camarilla games that need to rent a space to have room to play.
Though what defines a con is up for discussion.

Wayne and Shuster did that bit first.
It was probably a shuffle. I know I've left mine in my pocket before. Then again, my mother doesn't do my wash either. I'd probably be using my ipod when I went to wash them.
You've looked at Apple's DRM, have you? Yea... no big deal.
In this game, that's a big problem. The first 3 chapters are great. After that... Not so much.

I guess it's true that D&D is making a comeback, after all, it's been years since anyone blamed the game for anything.
Unless of course he's blaming it on the D&D xbox game...
Or of course the D&D movie. I can see that causing someone to kill.

Yea, You've got a point. Wait for a better library. That's what I plan to do. I need at least one or two great RPGs on the system before I'll buy it.
