Always on the lookout for opportunities, Blizzard Entertainment has teamed with the Pandaren Xpress restaurant chain to provide meals to your door from within the world of Azeroth.       It's tradition. Every year is like this. It's your one stop shop to get 4/1 out of your system. By the end of the day you've actually had enough. I was saddened to see it hadn't even started yet when I went to bed last night... though I'm glad things look to be in full swing right now.

      Actually, the wTunes addon briefly had a /pizza addon that worked on Macs - it opened Safari up to Pizza Hut Australia's webpage. But I took it out, because it's a consarn retarded idea.

      Pandaren is a Blizzard created race of Panda men. I believe it's first introduction into their games was WC3. However I could be wrong.

      The name is more than likely a play on Panda Express, a chinese food company. http://www.pandaexpress.com/

      Pandaren is a Blizzard created race of Panda men. I believe it's first introduction into their games was WC3. However I could be wrong.

      Well, kinda. The race was first unveiled...well, three years ago on this very day. It was the April Fools joke before WC3's release. According to their little article on it, it was to be a fourth playable race.

      Then, in the WC3 expansion, the Pandaren Brewmaster made his appearance.

      It was the second time a Blizzard April Fools joke actually made it into a game, though I suppose the Diablo 2 cow level was never really a joke at all, and was just cleverly disguised as one.

      actually, it's a tradition at Slashdot to not post any real news on April fools. So what you're asking is for slashdot to break with tradition. a tradition more entrenched than any you'll find in the Catholic church. Forget it! it's not going to happen. Just chuckle along and keep the vibe of the day going.

    on the other hand, if you defeat them, they leave a fortune cookie worth $10 off your next order of food while playing the game.

    my guess is someone thought it was funny ... but if you have a good ability, it can save you a lot of money over time.

    I've been so jealous of EverQuest 2's /pizza feature. I mean, why spend time developing a game and its content, when you can make completely worthless marketing deals?

    I think that the /pizza feature is why EQ2 is beating the pants off of WoW in subscriber count.

    A very cool April's fool joke, with clearly some thought put in it : I would have never fallen for it though (not a WOW player anyways).
