I'm starting to get tired of Firefox. It was cool when it was an unknown browser that avoided all popups and other IE problems. Now with its popularity more and more people are writing programs to exploit it. Time to move on.
We can't cure cancer.
We can't cure AIDS.
We can't even get along with each other.
Why are we playing "God" on a planet several thousand miles away? Unless we plan of funking things up here we should save are resources and energy on something more productive.
Gabbo..GABBO..GABBO!!!
Or Gump Happens.
I doubt this was an intentional leak. The name of the game is anticipation not giving it up 3 weeks before the start date.
The battery on the iPod blows. Mine didn't even last a year. This whole Apple craze is blown out of control and Wall Street is partly to blame. This is only going to end in disaster.
This is not a flaw. This is a security setting. If you do not bother to look at your firewall settings and exceptions they you are incredibly and emphatically mentally challenged. Please disconnect your PC and send it to me or donate it to poor third world children.
I had a Swiss Army knife for years and all of the parts either broke or got lost. If you want a real gadget knife get a Leatherman. The USB idea on a knife has been around for a while. I like the watch from Think Geek better.
In other news a cure for cancer and AIDS is quietly being shelved. The medical wonder has incompatibilities with most HMOs . Maybe I just don't see the point or perhaps the technology really wasn't all that good.
I'm not a fan of Microsoft, but I have only had 1 problem with Word. That article was posted sounds to me like his IT department doesn't know jack because I've installed it on hundreds of boxes and never had an issue like that. The only issue I've had with Word is the hidden code, but that has only happened once. I guess I'm just special. Word can be klunky, but I've done term papers, professional reports, and anything else that Word can do and I have never had an issue.
I think this is a reasonable goal, but like mankind Microsoft shouldn't evolve too quickly. Office still has its share of problems and I would really dread the day when my boss says lets put all of our work and research online. The net and any online collaboration programs are way too risky for my taste.
I do this for a living. I work a regular job trading futures, but I've been playing with computers since I was 6 or so. It is the easiest money to make. I could charge tons, but I just charge around $100 bucks for 1-6 hours of work and usually people are so happy I make everything work that they give me food and beer.
It boils down to having a USB key with 5 programs. They all fit on a 16MB key. Sometimes if I know my client has a virus program ahead of time I will download the definitions, but not that often.
People's problems are always the same. Virus and spyware. I don't recommend that most people use a software firewall since everyone just gets click happy. I usually tell them to just get a router. I have yet to get a call back from any of my clients and each time I do see them they say they never have any problems. They also like the fact that the router is just a one time buy rather than constantly buying new software and upgrading. I know there are free programs out there, but most people just don't trust them (beats me why).
I'm not a fan of Microsoft. I've been using computers since the early 80s. Microsoft has a lot of flaws, but with each iteration of their product things get better and better. The company does TRY! On several occasions I've had to call their support. I usually bypass the first level of support and ask for level 2 or 3, but those guys try and they listen. Now if it was a nix box I wouldn't have to call, but that is the nature of the product and their market share is such that people have to speak out and point out problems to them.
I applaud their efforts to improve IE even though it took so long. Remember once the slumbering giant is awake it is very tough to stop. Most people wouldn't even know what the internet was if it wasn't for Microsoft. Flamers from Apple and *nix circle are welcome, but what/.s fail to understand is that the majority of the population shits their pants if they just can't point and click. A command line is hard to a fifty or sixty year old guy. Microsoft made the net accessible to anyone.
I can also say with a great deal of confidence that the virus/spyware issue would also screw over Apple or *nix if they had a bigger share of the market. A lot easier to write exploits when the source is available. *nix and Apple have their place, but Microsoft does too so don't knock them.
Absolutely!!! That is why I had such a hard time finding a job. I had the certs, but all the people who had the jobs I wanted were there cause they fell into it, but they don't know anything about their computers. I've worked for several major corporations as well as universities and the admins are always the last to know anything.
Totally off topic now, but they still got to sue. If I was the lawyer my case would have been. Have you passed 4th grade reading? Really ok good then you knew you were screwing yourself have a happy. Here is a free pack on me.
What inform the consumer?!? But then we can't sue for spilling hot coffee on our laps, or dying from cigarettes (takes a drag). Oh the humanity!!
Of course they should, but they won't because that would mean they have to admit they suck. The first rule of recovery is admit your problems.
This really isn't a big deal. I've been playing games for over twenty years. Games have their phases. A few years ago it was shooters and RPG (FF style games). Now it is the more realistic run around and buy drugs, beat hookers, and kill people. Ultimately, it doesn't make a difference. It is just another phase. We've all been through different phases in our lives. Anyways, the biggest worry to me is that the industry is going away. Sure there are the big upcoming games, but there really hasn't been innovation since the GTA series. Guess I will just have to go back to D&D.
1. Bad that people steal code. 2. Good for Half-Life 2 cause that means the fans really like it. 3. A possible sign that Valve should hire more people so they can release it sooner. 4. What moron allows an email to install a keyboard sniffer on his computer. Anti-virus and patches take care of a lot of that. Not to mention the network guys should have caught that one quick. 5. Fire the retarded programmer that lets sniffers get installed on his PC and fire the network guys that didn't stop it. 6. Release the game already

Download FireFox.
There is no foolproof software to prevent people from downloading Bonzi Buddy and Gator.
Ad-Aware and a good virus program should take care of the rest.

I swear it was the game that made me fat. They made it so easy to order food and sit on my ass.
Quit posting stupid tech questions claiming they are newsworthy. Just remove the pdfmaker.dot template to get rid of the Office toolbar. Sheesh.

May things get only better from here.

The real question here is weather this ad bar will give us better Pr0n links. If it doesn't then who needs it?

Is your grandfather Don Corleone? Somehow I doubt it was a blue collar income. Either that or he never slept, ate, or did anything except work.
